This was the highest price car Oldsmobile had to offer, top of the line! It offers performance and style with a very luxurious interior and unique exterior trim.
EXTERIOR: Overall it's a great looking car. I would be proud to go to any cruise night or car show with it. Very solid, straight and fits good. The paint is a white metal flake that is smooth and glossy. It's an older paint job with minor flaws if you look for them. The chrome and trim are original and present nicely. There is a dent in the rear bumper. Original glass, weather strips were replaced. Dark red convertible top looks sharp!
INTERIOR: Best part of the car. Someone spent some coin on genuine leather upholstery! The door panels are really stylish, upper panels are new leather. The seats are really cool too; buckets in front and the back is shaped like buckets too. All leather seats including the sides. The dash is also very cool with lots of trim, shapes and check out the clear plastic over the glove box and the cool steering wheel! Even the pedals have style. There is a modern stereo hidden in the glove box. Features include a console with a tachometer, power windows and seat, wonderbar radio, front seat belts and speed warning indicator.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a powerful 394 motor making 345 horsepower. Everything looks stock, complete and proper. Features include factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Giant trunk! Under the lid and jamb were repainted. It's lined in felt and has a custom floor panel. Underneath it is the spare and jack. There is also a CD changer and amp too.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath the car appears to be solid and maintained as needed. The dual exhaust looks recent with glass pack style mufflers. The fuel tank has been replaced. The front end has been inspected and serviced. The shocks and springs look like they were replaced. The starter was just rebuilt. It has the original Hydramatic trans, the 1962 tag is still attached.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and had the starter rebuilt, replaced the valve cover gaskets, gave it an oil change, and repaired a vacuum leak to the brake booster.
This is a very unique, stylish car that is sporty and luxurious. Overall, it shows really well and drives beautifully. It has so much more to offer than a common Camaro or Mustang!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.

I think the most desirable luxury car Oldsmobile ever made. In the fall of 1963 when school took up, I was in Jr HS, and one of our teachers had purchased a brand new Starfire over summer break. His was maroon, with the silver bands on the sides .... To this day I think about the sharpest car I recall ever seeing. I don't know how many times I was called down in class for sitting in class, gazing out the window at it. I always rushed to class to get a window seat, just so I could sit and gaze at that Olds! I never got in too much trouble daydreaming tho with the teacher that owned the car .. Lol ,,,. He always knew I was sitting there gawking at his Starfire. Whoever ends up owning this 62 Stsrfire will be getting one of the most iconic Oldsmobiles ever .... Including 4-4-2s, and they were sharp. Kudos on this spectacular find!

I won a 65 Delta Holiday Coupe 425 engine. I love the style of the 62, especially the front end. But the 65 has the beautiful 1/4 panels and roof line along with more modern technology. Still, this is a great car.
