My mom had a '64 SUPERCHARGED STARFIRE, THE CAR WAS A ROCKET SHIP. I wish we still had it.

Best looking year for the Starfire and those turn indicators on the dash are too cool.

I was the proud owner of a white 1959 Dynamic 88 Oldmobile Convertible! No, it was not as nice as this one, but I really liked that car. The 394 CI V8 had plenty of power for this large car. There's nothing like cruising with the top down on a sumer evening. A little side story for Olds lovers - the top was worn out. I discovered you could buy a new top through the Sears & Roebuck catalog. I took one look at the new top and the "How to" instruction manual and knew this project was beyond my skills. I called the local Sear store and ask if they installed their new convertible tops. Not only did they install them, but the cost was only $150. Needless to say, I was at their shop the next day.

The dynamic 88 series engine was the 371 cubic inch rocket V8. It was the same in 1960.

Your 59, in my opinion was a custom car out of the factory. Great fins, rear decka clean lean and long body, nicer than any other GM that year in my opinion.

My relatives had a 61 bubble top Starfire. White/red interior. I would just sit in the driver's seat and hopefully driving it one day.
