1960s Nylint Safari Hunt Ford Bronco and Cage Trailer Restoration 4K
I purchased this 1960s Nylint Safari Hunt Ford Bronco and Animal Cage Trailer on eBay February of 2022 for $49.79. I've been wanting one of these simply because of the color. When I got this one It was missing the windshield, loading ramp, and back gate of the cage, Luckily I was able to find used replacements that I added to this truck. I also purchased a new winch chain and Bronco roof top. Overall this truck was in pretty rusty shape but the plastic and chrome parts were not in horrible shape. I did end up swapping out the cage for a different one, while researching the truck I found they made two cages, one that has "Safari Hunt" stamped into the front and one that is smooth. I really wanted my truck to have the Safari Hunt stamp so I purchased and refinished a second cage for this one. The front grille and bumper had a little bend in the drivers side I was unable to get out, however I'm still extremely happy with the way this one turned out. I spent a ton of time on body work and filling pits, I ended up having three coats of filler primer before everything was done. I would like to find the animals that go with this set and will likely add them at a later date, as well as create a stamp to re stamp the Bronco logo in black over the embossed logo on the fenders. Thank you for watching me restore these old pressed steel toys!!

It's amazing that for as old as this toy is MOST parts are this there like the gate for the trailer or the steering wheel, tires, seats, and it's not dented just rusted
Man,man, man, you did it again. The sheep look very happy with their new car.😁😁😁
How does anybody do something other than liking your videos?!? With such amazing details and THOSE SHEEPS!!!!😂❤
Ready to hunt another 62 years-splendid work.
Your work speaks. There is no need for words. It is a great thing to take care of the little things and give the old thing its original look and make it proud of its history again. 💐
I missed many of these projects when life got busy. I enjoy seeing the amazing transformation of each of the toys. And yes, I especially love the sheeples. They make me smile.
Well done looks better than the factory.
Hi is Louis from South Africa all that trucks, cars bring back the memerys of my childhood I am 58 now and you do a great job to preserve that toys may God bless you and your family
You need a Sailor cotton sheep.
The research the patience and an incredible eye for detail is astounding.
Damn those spot welds! It must be so hard to get rid of them. Excellent work as always and a lovely vivid colour. Thank you. Love the kitty.
Thank you for your videos. I have a rambunctious 3 year old (who loves anything with wheels) and we watch your videos together. He'll cuddle with me through the whole thing, mesmerized watching you "fix" the cars. He also loves the"kitty" at the end. ☺️ I cherish these times with him, and we are making great memories together. So thank you!

I yearn for that. Nothing whatsoever to do with current events, just my ancient history.
What beautiful American made toys. It is a real shame that children (and their parents) now days probably aren't as interested in such quality. What a "tribute" to American know-how and quality manufacturing.
Looks so nice. Well done
Anther classic brought back from the great beyond where once treasured toys are relegated after they’ve lost their luster. You do great work, and you give a lot of us “big kids” a blessed release from the worries of the day. THANK YOU, CHIP!
Hi Chip! Outstanding as usual! Have a good one!
Fantastic job!!! I love how this Safari vehicle is showing a cage, instead of teaching kids to shoot the animals as trophies!!! Though, I’m torn on the colour… I know it’s original, but it’s not my personal fav! 😓
the quality and attention to detail in some of these vintage metal toys is amazing. that "bronco" script on the fender is really cool

I never knew the Ford Bronco had a roof like that…
I think we should call you The Tin Man! Yeah, the tank looks like it's itching to be brought to life! 👍
Another brilliant result. Thank you for sharing these with us, as I for one thoroughly enjoy watching them & admiring your skills.
I always look for the one eyed sheep in the beginning of these videos.
Great work as usual! I can't wait for that tank you keep teasing us with lol
Wonderful job, looks brand new..❤️
I watch because for me it is very therapeutic. Thanks again for all your hard work 👍
Very good 👍
Awesome restoration
Very nice, amazing results. :)
Keep up the very good works and those toys you restore as very good as new.
This was AWESOME!!!!!!! I think my baby sitters son had this when I was very little. I remember His sister and I would take it and put our dolls in it along with some tiny stuffed animals. When he'd come home from school, he'd get so mad at us. Oh the memories!! Thanks. Hello Beaker.
Hey Chip 🤝 looked a little ruff and hard to take it apart a? We all make mistakes like that one way or another 😂… Came out awesome. Thanks and be well 🍻👍
Beautiful job
Thanks for showing so much of the sandblasting. Always my fave part.
In awe of your work. Love the colour of this restore. Ty

Another great job. Love that color
Superb workmanship, as always.
Very nice work,looks amazing.
That's a great resto! You do such wonderful work!
From the size of that collection it looks to me like you may have to start thinking about a multi-level storage system. Like a four-story parking garage type thing or something. That's great work, and I swear that toy looks like you just went to the store and bought it brand new.

Fantastic, I love seeing the power coat change.
I love watching your videos. You use the coolest tools and gadgets!
Love it reminds me of our bronco we had as kids lasted forever. Looks very nice👌👍
I got one of these for Christmas when I was a kid.
So very, very well done. Thanks for the fun restoration. And thanks for sharing Beaker. My 3 new 7 month old baby kitties appreciate her too.
Beautiful work!
I can't wait to see the army tank restoration!!! Great job as always!
The pieces, bits and parts that were on that toy was incredible. It’s always amazing to me how you know exactly where everything goes. The detail work that you do is fabulous. I enjoyed watching this video. Thank you. Carol from California

It no doubt helps Chip to videotape his breakdowns, so he can retrace and rebuild. You've probably seen some of the really intricate restorations he's done, i.e. the Tonka clam crane. That would've driven me crazy, but Chip's rebuild was perfect.
The bronco looks amazing great job chip👍
Great job! So fun to watch!
You always do such great rebuilds. Thank you.
Been waiting for some new restorations. I have been watching some other restoration videos none of them can hold a candle to you they are not as thorough as you are with your restorations. I enjoy watching all your videos. Keep them coming and I will keep watching!
Mr, I would like to express my admiration for the excellent work you do, using incredible and very expensive tools. It is a pity that while you have millions of views, your subscribers do not reach these numbers...
Always amazing to see just how much effort toy companies deployed to manufacture these types of toys back then. Absolutely awesome restoration work on this Bronco!

Beautiful job of restoring the car nice colores
Beautiful. Another awesome restoration. You never cease to amaze. Neither does Miss Beaker. Great job. Thanks for sharing. 💕😊💕
I had one of these Broncos when I was a kid with a little camp trailer to pull....
Beautiful work every time you restore one of those rusty toys It takes me back to my childhood on Christmas morning or during the summer in the sandbox building a road or a city Thank you for doing what you do I love watching rust and age being put in its place.
Wow...I love the color. Well done. It is always a pleasure to watch your videos...
Next time you encounter difficult to remove wheels, maybe try heating the axles just enough to soften the plastic.
Well done, fantastic restoration
WOW!! It's new!!! GREAT PERFORMANCE!!
Great video, i liked the review at the end showing the completed models! Very nice!
I have been waiting to see if you had a Bronco like this to restore, and I watched all the way through with great enthusiasm. I had a similar one (sans trailer) that was probably made in the early 70's when I was a little kid. By then, it was red with a white interior, and was mounted on the larger off-road tires with yellow plastic hubs similar to those on my Nylint dump truck and Michigan crane. My "canvas" top and roll bar disappeared long before I was done playing with it. Great job, Chip!
Chip u do some awesome work ur attention to detail is awesome 🙂
This was one of my favorite restorations Chip has done so far.
That green is intense! I appreciate that you maintain the color and character of these wonderful pieces as you bring them back to life. As an old lady Math teacher, I also appreciate that you show the problem-solving in the process. It seems I learn something new in every video. Thank you for sharing another incredible restoration!
Awesome job my friend congratulations
Great job!! I like that you did the original colors
Filling in those rust pits on the body panels is extremely satisfying to watch!
i'M SO GLAD YOUR BACK!!! LOVE YOUR WORK AND VIDEOS. LOVE THE SHEEP
you make my day better. So satisfying how you do it so well.
Great job on the restoration!
I’m 60, and I still have this very toy from when I was a kid. It’s in great shape!
Absolutely beautiful! You are a true artist bringing these wonderful toys back to life from the brink !💙
Fantastic work on this one, I really enjoyed it.
Wonderful to see a new video. As always, incredible work. And YAY Sheep! YAY Kitty!
1more of many fine restore's you have done bringing back old time toys that may have been brought to the land refill 👍
This was less rusty than a real one, great job, the paint colour is cool.
Excellent job restoring it Chip!! It looks better than it did new. Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up for support
Wow, I didn't expect the new color to be fluorescent yellow! I thought a regular bright yellow would work for the body color. As always, you make these toys look better than new. Meticulous detail throughout.

it's green , light green sure but it's green
i like the fact you can restore a number of these rusted pieces into show room stock well done.
How fun and unique it turned out! Awesome job as always Chip. Thank you for taking us along.
Fully expected you to whip out a miniature tiger for that cage ....
I would love to see the tank being restored next!
Once again and amazing restoration. Me as usual , glad you made it through the take apart without a rusty cut on your finger. LOL
What a fantastic restoration, it turned out beautifully done. Love to watch you restore these toys. You pay attention to the smallest details and with the wet sanding make sure the powder coating is flawless. Its so calming to watch the sandblasting. Thank you.
Awesome as always. You continually set new standards of quality for your restorations.
one of the most entertaining restos I have ever seen.
I always love the sandblasting part, always wonder if that nasty rough rust will come off. The finished product looks truly amazing. Thank you sir, great video
Beautiful restoration I'd have that on a shelf to display its stunning
We had a 67 Bronco. The doors & roof came off and the window laid down. It was a blast to use. We tackled any kind of trail in the mountains and deserts of California.
My 3 boys and I love your videos, especially all the sheep at the end!
Absolutely beautiful restoration!
