Please. Ford never referred to the 59 Galaxie as a "Fairlane 500 Galaxie", just as a GALAXIE.

I owned one back in 1965 and it was badged as a Ford Fairlane Galaxie 500

@@barrykelley7773 But Ford never CALLED it that in advertising or in promotional material, just Ford Galaxie, as there was a Fairlane 500 that was NOT a Galaxie. It had a different roofline and a different back window.

@@jamesbosworth4191 True. If I'm not mistaken the 500 designated that the model had a so-called T-Bird roofline. Mine did in fact have both the Galaxie and 500 badges along with Ford and Fairlane. Don't remember how it was marketed but that's how it physically appeared.

@@barrykelley7773 The Galaxie name was on the model with the T-Bird roofline. It was on the rear fenders, and the Fairlane 500 name was on the deck lid, but Ford marketed it as the Ford Galaxie. There was both a Fairlane and a Fairlane 500 with a more conventional roofline as well, the 500 being trimmed like the Galaxie, the "plain" Fairlane not having the "Reynold's Wrap" inserts in the side trim and an interior that was not as fancy. Those cars said Fairlane 500 and Fairlane respectively on the rear fenders as well as the deck lid.
