My Parents had a 59 Galaxie 500 when I was a kid my Dad said it had the biggest engine Ford offered the Galaxie at the time. I use to lay on the back package tray and watch the stars going down the highway when I was little.

I love the style of ‘59 Fords. They used to be police cars throughout the 1960s in Cuba, painted black white with a round red light on the roof & a huge whip antenna on rear bumper..!

My dad owned a Galaxie 500 salmon and white colored one with continental kit and fender skirts back in the day. 2 door ht. Wish I owned it today.

I remember back in 59 when two of my cousins had a bad wreck on U.S. 80 East of Fabens TX. in a brand new 59 Fairlane 500, 2dr. Neither survived. It was the one that had the Police Interceptor 352. Studebaker Hawk?

I noticed the Studebaker Hawk too. A review of that one would be nice.

The Galaxie was a late1958-early 1959 year addition to the line of '59 Fords. The major difference from the Fairlane 500 was the formal roofline withe the wide C panel.

And Ford never called the Galaxie a "Fairlane 500 Galaxie", just GALAXIE. Despite the rear deck Fairlane 500 badging. I am old enough to know.

Daddy had a1959ford galaxy stationwagon it came with a 390 c.i. engine v-8 autonatic .ford is still my faverit car and some trucks too

Fun Fact: Al Pacino Drove One Of Those In The Movie: Godfather 2 (1974) As Michael Corleone. It Was The Same Color, Black And Red.

My favorite engine is the 352, cubic inch V8 and 3 Speed automatic transmission.

292 was a flathead in 53 on up but the 59 had a 352 also because they were police cars too.

Nice you really don't see these 4dr HTs that much. Even back in the day.

First year Galaxie, introducesd mid year 1959 OEM rear deck antenna, my moms all original 2 door sedan Galaxie has that as well.

Look for a 1959 Ford Galaxy 500 Costom 2 Door with fender Skirts and Twin rear Antennas like my Dad had

Thanks for taking a look Tom, we appreciate it my friend. Glad Jimmi is coming by for a drive. Jordan put a new brake booster on his C10 tonight, so I imagine we'll be taking it for a spin tomorrow. We've been lucky, it has been fairly warm here lately, which is unusual for January.

Too bad they want make the good old cars like they use to make .i like the1950,--1960,s.cars better any way especially fords some chevrolets some chrysler products my faverit is ford.
