My dad had a 54 Ford - teal and white - V8 - he put glass packs on it. Traded it for a brand new 59 Galaxy - black - four door - no skirts, but he ...put....glass packs on it. That was the end of his four wheeled childhood. Next up was a 62 Buick Le Sabre 401. My brother buried the speedometer needle at something north of 120, it stuck there. Fifteen years later I dug a 55 F100 out of a guys barn. It had a vacuum valve tapped into the manifold for a remote milking machine set-up. I did a body off resto. Minty - til stolen. Keep up the great vids! Brings back some busted knuckles.

Hey guys, there is no such thing as a Galaxie Fairlane 500, they are two separate cars, a Galaxie 500 and a Fairlane 500. I had a 1963 Galaxie 500XL, which was the top line of the Galaxies at that time, I really loved it.

Yeah, the previous "owner" (or owners) was a bit of an animal.... no comment on the exhaust (lol), but only an animal would drill more holes in trim to re-attach it onto the body. This thing had the makings of a high-end rat rod.

You have sure got the right contacts to save and find the old iron Jonathan , looks real solid , keep finding and saving them , keep up the excellent work . Top guy . The old irons the way to go , not the modern garbage . Modern stuff got no soul . Old stuff built to last .

What is wrong with a four door? Even as a teenager and young adult I always preferred them over two doors. Have to admit I was a rarity. Nice car.

Slick Ol Ride @Jonathan W. Fix her hurts and get it on the road . It will sell. So its got some Gerry-Rigging going on. 60 year old car that's been through a few hands will have that issue going on. Been through that myself and its not much fun. But hey if that saves it and gets it on the road . One more saved from the grave. Have fun with with it and look forward to first start on this one.

Ah, hometown childhood memories of my neighborhood with Mr. Fox lovingly detailing his black ‘59 Ford Galaxy in his driveway every weekend. You could see that old Ford shining a block away! Thanks for the pleasant recollection.

OK folks, lighten up on Jonathan, a guy CANNOT have too many Nifty Fifty Fords (or anything with a motor for that matter)! Loving this series of finds, brings back memories of my folks 55 and 57 Fords they bought new when I was in school and my 55 Crown Victoria I had when I was in the Army 70-72. Great nostalgia on here! Keep'em rolling Jonathan!
