1956 and 1959 Corvettes parked in barn since 1969 with Corvette parts
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, we discover early Corvettes and Corvette parts in three different barns.
Email (jerryheasley@gmail.com) if you have a barn find or know of one. Or call me at 806-236-3681. We will feature you in the video and buy the car or pay a finder's fee if you don't own the car and just know where it is, etc.

Whole new meaning to basket case, WOW
Love seeing the old gear heads. You know he banged alot of gears
What a Cool and Clever old Character 👍
Quite a guy he knows where everything is at
Man I enjoyed the heck outta this video. Just totally reminded me of my grandpa and man is it fun to see all of this stuff be found like a puzzle. I so wish life was just doing stuff like this. Every moment doing car stuff is a moment in my life that besides being a father, well to me there just isn't anything better. Have had so much fun with my best friend who is my mechanic, countless hours with my buddy and his son. Thanks for posting this awesome find.

Credit Jonathan Large for this find, but I found this blue '66 Chevelle in Charlotte that Jonathan told his friend about and he bought and I did a video on - right cheer - kzread.info/dash/bejne/m619sKihocWulJc.html
Cool find, I bought a 1958 Parisienne from Canada and had it shipped to Australia. It needs floors so the guy in Canada was parting it out, I could see the potential that others couldn't...if it didn't need work it would have sold before I found it and would have been out of my price range..I have the parts and ability to fix it,now I just need the time.
It'd be nice to just sit and listen to his stories. Reminds me a lot of my Popaw.
Cool find ! When i was a child my Dad took me to a old neighbors house that had around 40 cars mostly Model A s and Tees In very good shape with only a few parts off of the cars that were stored in various locations in the mans barns and. Lofts whenever my Dad asked about a specific part. The old timer knew exactly where it was stored on his property the gentleman was a old farmer and utilized the running gear as power plants to run farm equipment to a sawmill operation he powered with the back wheel of a old truck I was amazed at how sharp. The man was And how he had kept his secret for many years One of the tricks he used was he kept adding extensions to a old barn behind the original so from the road it looked like just one little barn but in reality it was big enough to keep a few hundred cars and trucks plus thousands of parts ! All of which were on a small dirt road in upstate NewYork close to where my father lived as a teenager and young man The gentleman was happy to see my Dad and. Really enjoyed teaching me and showing me his amazing collection The guy in this video who owned and stored the Vettes reminded me of the guy my Dad knew but my Fathers freind has passed away many years ago and the autos have all been sold as well Sadly the property was abandoned and Mother Nature was not kind to it last time i drove past it a large tree had fallen and crushed a big part of the original house i could only imagine the place has been destroyed by wild animals and locals over the years my father never knew who wound up with all the vehicles and parts but he always wondered as the gentleman and his wife never had children to inherit them ?
What an adventure. Fantastic. And what a character
Nice Corvette I really like it
Would love to see a video of these being put back together
This video made me smile. : )
That's a nice scout I seen!
you guys got your Hands full good luck.
Disassembled by another GENIUS !
Awesome video . Best wishes .
I would love to have a good old corvette!precise 57!!!!!!!,
My man kicked that door like it stole something!!!!
Great rescue guys. Got a mate with a '54 corvette body that had the front cut off it with the rest of the car used for parts. It's getting restored with another front, and converted to V8 with a '55 motor. He's not a sissy like the guys that call this stuff scrap!

That old guy is awesome.
Take that mid-fifties pickup 0:37 over a couple of hacked up Corvette's any day ! Great video's... subbed : ]
My dad's friends at work would call him "Little Bit"
This gentleman knew the future
I’ve never understood why anyone takes something like that apart and scatters the parts
I like that old square body chev and the other old 40's 50's cars
Skin is itching just thinking about all that fiberglas work.
So you found some chopped up corvette bodies and a few other body parts. Where is the frame? Suspension, interior, engine, glass hardware, etc...
kool man hes laughing all the way to the bank with all that junk . :-)
Nice video

I think a lot of these barn finds are because of the last old school hot rod and early muscle guys are dying off or getting up there in age to share the love ,, my opinion..
Kool find guys!
Nice vid. How about a little more of Bernie's back story and these parts. This old guy could probably write a book. Hell, he should have his own show.

So did anything blow out on the way home??? Your haul reminds me of the time I picked up a barn find 28-29 Ford roadster...lost a rear fender on interstate 10.. never did find that dang thing. Good haul.
more into the IH and squarebody they keep squeezing by
"Parked?" Um... Trying to come up with a better word... 🙄
I live way out in the country in Indiana. The neighbor Lady said she had some old cars in the barn she needs rid of so she can make room for her sisters old chair and furniture shop her husband past away in late sixties. Long story short she sad I could have the old Chevy's in the barn if I would haul hem away. Turned out out of the five cars in the barn three was Corvettes 58. 59. 69 . Complete automobiles. One is fuel injected the other two is 69 Nomad and a 66 Caprice two door big block car with 41'000 actual miles. This was the best day of my life. Felt guilty but that soon past. The 69 was her son's that was killed in Vietnam been parked ever since. Wonderful old car runs real good. Took. About a week of cleaning but it was worth it

If you took some images, like with your cell phone, I can write a story on this for my "Rare Finds" column in Vette Magazine. Send an email to me at jerryheasley@gmail.com - this is Jerry Heasley. Thanks.
Have you ever noticed 90+ percent of cars that are disassembled are never put back together by the guy who took them apart? Easy to take apart another thing to put back. To those who say this is junk, they are the 90+ percent. Not real car guys. Been building cars and bikes for over 50+ years and they all get restored / refurbished.

Thank you!!! Well spoken!!! You are a real car guy. You have been there, done that. I've been writing Rare Finds monthly for 26 years in 3 magazines. I know what you say is true. Are the finds always pretty - nope. That's why so many people pass over them. They're looking for a pretty car. A guy told me this one time after he found a 1966 Shelby that anybody could see from the road, but it sat there for years. That's because it didn't look much like a Shelby. You got to have the eye for this and be able to get on the inside - not easy. It's very hard to get to go along on one of these excursions, let alone video it. TV production people have passed me over for years - so I'll do my own. Please help spread these videos I'm doing. I don't have a crew and no budget, but car people trust me and I have worked with thousands of them over the years. They are hard working and honest people. You've just seen a real barn find and got to look behind a veil.

Both well spoken!!! Finishing up a 47 Chevy truck and getting ready to start my 39 Ford coupe. Both 500 bucks. No one wanted them. To much "work ". The 39 was left in a rent house and the guy who owned the house just wanted it gone. He asked me how I could buy it pretty much unseen when so many others had said it wasn't fixable. I told him I have a 5000 sf auto garage and I know how to fix sheet metal. Floor pans seam to scare the hell out of them. The beauty of putting in floors is they cover a lot of ground quick!!! "Oh wow you've got a lot done":) Yall keep Rocking!!!

Alot of old car parts like theses are left over parts from years and many cars where someone has worked on dozens of cars over decades. This stuff is neat no doubt but where's the engines frames ect, looks like left over parts from crashed cars that where rebodied decades earlier. I can tell you from experience I'm a car woman and that elderly man didn't take those cars apart and just walk away and not put them back together probably. I'd say the chassis and engines were rebodied and put back on the road.
Dave Kammery has one in his Garage...
@7.38 40 Ford tudor there too?
God... i wish i was 100 years old and had some cars to sell..might be i should have sold them before i was about dead.
he remembers whats parts he has forgot to putem toghathere LOL.

How Hillbilly: Ararat, VA being named after pioneers saying "''ere' a rat! 'ere' a rat!". I'm sure it's really named after Mt. Ararat, where tradition holds Noah's Ark landed.
Why did he take it apart like that ?
Is that blue 50's Chevy truck for sale???
The one question I have is did Barney get a fair price for that stuff or did he get ripped off . I have always had the experienced with collectors that they want to give you a dollar for something then they want to turn around and sell it for a million dollars they are always trying to rip people off . Like I said I was just wondering !

I'm pretty certain that that old man got what he wanted....1.old guys like him are generally not hurting for a dollar...2.old guys like him know what things are worth and don't generally let anything go for cheap...because of no. 1
An old vet all together is nice but the composets and resines of today are much better that is just old junk the old vets are cool looking cars but for the money you can get a brand new 56 body much stronger then a 56 and built to fit a new vet frame
For those of you that think this is JUNK ..... think again. If you have any of this kind of "junk" .... call me !
You don’t need to know that

Junk sale here
Unfortunately, even if restored, they are still Corvettes ......
Now, I'm not expert and it's been years since I worked on a 50's/60's vette but when I did work in a restoration shop, the boss was meticulous about building a steel frame to keep the body straight and square once it came off the frame. He said "because if you don't, it will stretch and move all out of shape and never go back on right. Now maybe you guys are different and there's new technology but those bodies look rotten and quite frankly, worthless....unless you did all this for the vin numbers......
He said, they are ten miles from Mayberry. That explains the Barney P Fife mentality.
LOL
I’d pass on that junk.
Not sure if I agree with a bunch of car enthusiasts going thru an old mans sheds. I’m sure he doesn’t get paid what there really worth?what about there families some of these treasures should be handed down not sold to people pretending to be an old mate these elderly people don’t get a lot of visitors and I often wonder how many of these barn find hunters go back for a second or even a third visit?can not help but feel there being taken advantage of. I hope I’m wrong and a little to suspicious but there is a lot of it going on. Forgive me if I’m wrong!
Those fiberglass bodies have a shelf life. What these guys have is worthless garbage that will never be structurally sound again... They basically just paid to haul garbage from the old mans barn.
Salt of the earth kinda people there. Definitely not from California or New York
W.O.W.
Looks worthless body is all missing and cracked that is not a car. This is nothing...............
The shear cost of repairing these cars will far out weigh their value on the open market in both time and money. There are better projects around than these scrap cars. Why would you dissemble a car then scatter it’s parts over three sheds and just leave them there
Good luck putting that pile of shit back together!
Bad editing and stupid questions sure can make people sound ignorant.
That's just a pile of junk.. for the most part..
Terrible
Total junk
