    I love my lister d type but I had definitely never seen a reverse rotation one and also what a lovely paint aplication that is

    Thanks...the paint was two coats of red oxide then two coats of quick dry enamel applied by hand with a brush

    I think these engines are just the best! And it looks a site better than when you started. These are like the olod Briggs flathead, only water cooled instead of air. Veryb simple and reliable. Thanks, Griz!Q You know how I like this stuff which is a LOT!

    Need help I’m working on one right now how can I find out which way it rotates? And it’s been painted several times and it’s missing the identification plate

    Nice restoration. Is your engine brush painted or spray gun. I ha a D undercoated at the minute. New main bearings fitted etc and just waiting to get it rebuilt. Such a soothing engine to watch on a summers day. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks...I brush paint all my engines,two coats of red oxide,then two coats of quick dry enamel,you're right they are soothing on a summers day,even better if you've got a glass of cider in your hand

    Thanks Jan...some were made reverse rotation by Lister,the majority were clockwise rotation though

    @@grizzly9871 very much so, particularly as it goes the other way... I have a PAZ 1 on my channel, and from the colour I've assumed it's from a cement mixer as it's been painted yellow and has the right sort of exhaust.

    @@BensWorkshop Had a look at your Paz1, and yes it does have an exhaust typical of a cement mixer
