You're making good progress! A stuck cylinder head is a common problem. Before you go further, remove the last two nuts off the front two studs that hold the water neck to the head. Then what I'd recommend is to make or borrow a head puller. Get in touch with the Model A clubs in your area ( www.mafca.com/chapters/VA.html ) and see if you can borrow one. If not, here's a video showing how you can make one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f6ib2NCNZsTIYLg.html ... or you can purchase one from Snyder's Antique Auto - www.snydersantiqueauto.com/product.htm?pid=978625&cat=41686 ... I also suggest that once the head is off that you remove all of the remaining studs and replace them and the nuts with new parts. After over 90 years, the metal is fatigued and you don't want to mess up the threads in the block!

Really nice how things are coming apart! Remove the two nuts holding the water pipe above the water pump, those are really long studs that go down into the block. You can bore out two old spark plugs and put an eye hook down through them, screw them back into the head and you can pull up with them.

You still have to remove the two nuts that hold the pipe to the radiator.

You need to remove the water neck bolts. Fill the cylinders with rope and rotate the engine and it will come right off.

Put some heat on the stuck valve through the port, touch it with some lard. As it cools you will hear the valve go ping. You can lift the valve up with a small pry bar...just a tad. Marvel Carburetors are great, get parts from Renners corner.

Thank youfor the tip on that valve. I'll give that a try. As for the carburator, I've not even looked at it yet. I'll check out that vender for parts. Much appreciated.

Engine doesn't look like it had many miles on it when they parked it, no oil slug. Amazing how very little rust there is for sitting outside for so many years.

Ha, yes. For some reason I though those were only short studs into the head, but removed the min the follow-up video. Thank you.
