Very welcome 👍
It wouldn't hurt my feelings if you made longer videos, I know it takes a lot to put them together, but there always interesting.
It's always a good idea to not reuse old head studs - buy a new set of grade 8 studs; cheap insurance that the head nut torques will keep the head on tight.
The broken water neck was a shocking plot twist, great save with the brazed repair! I also enjoyed the daring use of birds eye view during start up!
Really love those old rigs. Beats the hell out of the plastic and rubber cars we have now. Keep on keeping these old rigs on the road.
Can I ask for credit? Lol. Credit where it's due, fellas, you did a great job there. It's always nice to see another old timer back up and running around. always great to drop in and see what is going on at Srong's. All the best, Mart from Mart's Garage in England.
Nice to see Alex working with you guys. There's a lot of talented people working at Strongs Garage
Alex is the perfect addition to Strongs Garage, I hope to see more of him work with you guys.
This may be the most authentic channel on the entirety of KZread.
I had a cousin, who has long since passed on, could set the points with one hand as that is all he had. He lost an arm in a combine years before.
What a treat to see you fellows wrenching on a Model A. Inspiration for us fans of yesteryear!
Matt + Jim, love the period tools, methods and snap caps!
great to see a bit of T&A action.
It’s lovely to see masters at work.
the wonders of the modern automobile
Gotta love the old omnidirectional trouble light. Hits everybody and everything full on. I remember you could buy a heavy duty (incandescent) GE bulb called Rough Service that would survive more than a few drops or hits unlike regular bulbs that were always blowing from the slightest impact.

Dear johna 👍👌👏 Yeah, exactly. If I remember correctly, there are shields and glass covers existing for these types of lamps. As an interim solution I once even used kitchen aluminium foil (folded over several times) to direct the light away from my face. Best regards, luck and health in particular.

I think I still have Dad’s “drop light” from the 1940’s with a half shield still tucked away in the garage. He rewired it multiple times during my time with him and it will remain with me as a fond token of our times together. I bet it will light up and shine bright today!
Good to see you all again especially with a beautiful Model A.
What a beauty. The simplicity of the engine is beautiful too. 😊
Nice to see a stored engine given a mild going over like that before dumping raw gas in and cranking away. Nice to see Al at Strong's. He learns fast.
Matt, start looking now to find someone to hang your Xmas lights. It's gotta be cheaper and easier than last year's debacle.
What a great car! A testament to the magic of the automobile!!
Those rags in #1 and #4: "BONJOUUR!"
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic. What a wonderful cabriolet surviver. Congratulations 🎉 for the smooth resurrection. Very well done, guys. The engine runs and sounds quite well and very healthy. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards, luck and especially health to all involved people.
Always good to get a look at the workings of Strong’s Garage.
That's so interesting. I read, The Henry Ford Story and I have been hoping to see the workings of a Model A and the Model T also. The engine is really nice to be close to.
Great to see Alex again, it’s been a while. Snappy cap too! Cheers Paul
Matt, Jim, great show. What a nice Model A. It's great you can use all the antique equipment in your shop. Makes the show authentic in many ways. Keep up the great work. Cheers from Wisconsin.
Thx guys great watch!
It’s Al…Mr Mini
Thanks for the awesome vid. Great rescue. 👍🏻. I love it when you go slow up to the torque esp on head bolts( nuts).
The oil may look clean, but it will be oxidised after standing a few years. A full laboratory oil test is only a bit over £30 in UK and tells you a lot about the health of your engine as well as the oil. They send you a sample bottle, you fill in a data sheet about the car. You mail it and the sample off to them. A few days later, the test results pop up in your email. The service I use are very helpful over the phone if the results are puzzling. I'm sure similar tests are available where you are. Catching problems early is a lot cheaper than picking up the pieces! Clearly, there are no significant problems with that Ford, though!
Good to see Alex working on something other than a Mini. Nice work!
Love your show😊
Serious jack action, she's a big un'.
Another great video, thank you. A beautiful A! Looking forward to Model T race coverage!
* Great old girl guys ! Glad you guys got it going ! 👊😎👍
Excellent work boys. What a beautiful example of a Model A.
Howdy, Agent Alex!
Going to try to make it up there for the Model T races next season. Stay warm, guys!
Well done fellows! Jim, get with the program....snap cap.
NO ONE in 2116 is going to be restoring a 93 year old Tesla 🙄 Beautiful old cars that are a wonderful piece of history!!

Good point. I’m restoring my 1931 coupe.
Love your videos. I haven't seen any in a bit so made sure have notifications on. I really love the simplicity of the vehicles you feature and also the tools! Obviously not completely practical in today's world but the idea that something can sit for 70 years and in a few afternoons you could be driving around would seem like complete fiction to alot of people these days. I realize still on smaller size channel but if you guys ever get together like merch stuff some period inspired stuff would be real neat. Look forward to more videos. I watched the races on Curiosity Inc channel! Love that so much. If was do far I'd be at every one.
Lovely job. What a great old car!
They knew how to build them try that today you need a code reader a programer electric pumps fuel injection nice video
That’s a beauty and all original too❤🎉
Always enjoy my visits to Strong's Garage! Learn more every episode, thanks for the great content!
Nice work guys.
Nice car nice job, thank you ALL stay safe
Matching coffee cups--nice touch! Might want to put names on them so you don't mix them up!😆 Thanks for sharing all that vintage goodness.
Thanks Straight Ahead ✌😎
The format of this video was awesome.
Good video, good resurrection, even if there was a small oopsie. Alex seems like a good addition to the team, hope to see him again atStrong's Garage. Hope that you all had a good Thanksgiving, and happy Halloween.
THANKS!!!... Thumbs Up Guys!...
Here I am debating on getting a rib roast and braising it before baking, and you do an Elbow.I know mine will taste And smell better hot.I'll go out on a limb and give this episode an A+. Now that I've put my foot in it,I'd like to ask if you could tour their collection and share it??
What a little sweetheart. Thanx for showing us.
She a runner now.....Thanks guy's...... Shoe🇺🇸
Nice work. It is ready for another 100k miles. er kilometers.
You guys did a real nice job. Thanks for taking us along. Sweet car.
"Cars with character."
I just saw one of these for sale on my way home from work 😊
Beautiful old survivor!
There's some debate in Model A circles about cleaning threads. Did you use a tap, or a thread chaser?
Hey, I just realized you guys had done a video a while back about the key cabinet my bad I forgot that I saw that video but thank you anyway love the videos
How very satisfying! What a fine old Ford, hardly run in. 2d a pound… I remember when gentlewomen used knicker elastic to replace fan belts…those were the days… don’t make’em like that any more.
I just bought a 31 Model A, sure wish you were closer!!!
funtastic video guys
“I broke it”. I’ve been there. 🤬
To answer your question ,OF COURSE IT WILL RUN.😊
Thing of beauty.
Great show👍
What a pretty car. Good work, Matt, Jim et al.
Nicely done, excellent video! Resurrections are so fun.
another great show guys
Great episode!
Love your channel! When can I get a custom Strong’s Garage T-shirt? Just keep doing what you guys do!
The vintage tools! 😀 I love trying to figure out the brands (and if I already have one). The Plomb/Proto rubber mallet on the valves. That made me go a bit wild.
NICE!!!
Great job! Thanks for the video!
I find it funny at Strong's Garage Al goes by Alex and when he is at the Cold War Motors Ranch he goes by Al LOL

You blew his cover.
Great work! Beautiful original car!
Might have been able to reuse the head gasket. It doesn't look like this engine has run much if any since it was put together last.
Love the old pickups, nice job bringing it back. My first metal repair was learning to braze. Enjoy what you’re team does. 👍
Well that sounds really good Thank you for the video
Excellent.
Great video !!!!!
Excellent video.
So how did you repair the water hose housing? Old unrun sitters oil always looks fresh, sediments still in there though. A pal inherited his dads old farm with 50 gallon oil change drum, oil like new with 1" sediments in the bottom, uses the oil in his commuters. First I get an old sitter I release the pressure plate until the cork disk lets go, usually couple of weeks. I never ever stand edge on to old fans, had a few fly off and they will kill, always check for cracks at the bolt holes.
Maybe try using “The Right Stuff” gasket goo instead of a regular gasket on the water neck to prevent stressing the ears??
@saxman657

That or the Toyota gasket maker. Both are great products.
Ok, you guys are awesome. I have a crazy idea that you might love or hate, please consider. I have a 1923 T that I want to install an oil pump in the sump to filter oil to a spin on oil filter. It will clearly be a bypass type system and I'm doing it to use multigrade synthetic oil because I want to drive it year round and yes I'm in Canada too😂 What do you think? Besides it's a big engineering mess, I'm looking forward to it.
Marvel mystery oil helps stuck valves rings add to fuel on occasion add to oil Surprised you don't have it on the shelf it has been around since 1923 100th anniversary 2023 great video
Awesome
That trouble light is blinding...it's got to go or be modified with a shield. Kinda goofy the way it is.
Hey, is that Al from CWM? - Ed
You could tell it hadn't been run in quite a while. It looked like leaded gas buildup on the valves that you cleaned off.
Hey guys, I noticed next to your counter you have an old key blank cabinet and it says keys on top with a light . I think I have the same cabinet , I’ve been restoring it and trying to figure out what was on the top. Is there anyway you guys can show a better view of the cabinet so I can see what I need for the top of mine ? I know I’m asking a lot but I haven’t seen another one like it .. Thanks for another , Brother !
Paper match sticks under the water inlet ears keeps them from breaking.
Sweet!!! 💀🎃👻🎃💀🎃👻🎃💀🎃👻🎃💀🎃👻🎃
Scott-brite’s your friend……I heard someone say.
I see a lot of brazed repairs on older things, is it as strong as stick, mig, or tig welding?
