Oh my! Publicly called out! I don’t think I’ve ever been so motivated to complete a workout. Better make sure I’m rested and hydrated before attempting. Max, you really are a super human. Thank you.

I failed! The unbroken sets are brutal! Today I went back and did your 160 follow-along. Not easy, but had a little left in the tank. Yet this workout will remain an unconquered goal for a little while…

Just managed to do 170 in this format today and felt like I had some more gas in the tank but for anyone overwhelmed by the sets of 17 unbroken reps I figured I’d share another way I’ve managed to hit 170 several times before attempting the structure in this video. I’ve had good luck by using the 160 rep follow along video and simply back loading the last 10 sets with one extra rep each. Something about the more frequent rest periods really helped me out mentally before finally trying out the longer unbroken structure. Good luck busy people!

Great content. Been using this format for a while. You can take it up to as high as you like, just add reps to each set. Re: 10 sets of 18 on up as high as you feel capable before changing format. Follow along adding your reps to each set. Your rests just get a bit shorter. I too get lost in counting, i find by counting mini sets of 5 helps me mentally on thinking short term vs long term ie, 1,2,3,4,1: 1,2,3 4,2, 1,2 3,4,3, 1,2. Rest. I then place a stones on a bench after each set. 10 stones is 10 sets. Great one Max.

G'day Max, managed to (barely) struggle through this one today. Really appreciate your knack of saying the right motivational thing at just the right time and banking a little extra rest to be used toward the end. That, in my opinion, makes (or at least to me, made) all the difference. Thank you, and keep up your great work. Regards, Wayne from down under.

I am goign to travel from Tuesday to Friday so I am afraid I wouldn't have the opportunity to follow the program. Therefore I did 180 6-counts, 80 Navy seals and then 180 6-counts (3 sessions) today (it's Monday) - one in the morning, one at noon and the last one in the evening. So there is just one session waiting for me this weekend. Not perfect to do so much on one day but this week the best idea I could come up with.

Yes yes yes! I did it! I was following your 160 video for a while - I was always tired and sweety as hell, after this training. I was awaiting, that maybe you will record 165 some day, but today, I decided to try with 170 as "attempt no1". But somehow I succeeded! It wasn't easy though. This program is really changing my life - I have more energy through the day, and this is fantastic feeling! Trying to convince my Wife to join this journey - but when she's see my after the session, she is scared:) Anyway, thanks Max and take care you all burpee fanatics!

I do 200 reps. but I prefer this „setup“ (20, break, 20, break,…) over the 200 follow along setup (25, break, 25, break,…). Also this way, I can maintain a better form each rep.

  • @jwilles1

Did it first try (non-verbal). Probably sticking to this one for a week or two, get conditioned to the long sets. Going from 8 every minute to 17 straight is a big leap, but I think once I get accustomed to the larger sets, it becomes easier to add a rep to those big sets and then before you know it you are at 180/185/190/200

I enjoy your workouts Busy Dad. I was wondering, have you ever worn a CGM ( continous glucose monitor ) while doing one of your sessions? I've been doing my own burpees routines at home for a while and am a type 1 diabetic. Recently, i started wearing a CGM . It was eye opening how my blood glucose fluctuates during an intense workout. This is partly down to being diabetic. However, everybody has these changes when working hard. Good luck

Failed. Couldn’t maintain the pace at the seventh block. Gave up once I was more than 6 reps behind I am ashamed to say. Ended up doing around 140 reps- very, very poor performance. Will go again tomorrow and try blocks of 16 instead of 17 and maybe see if I can squeeze a few extras out in the last couple of blocks.

I can never keep count without a "crutch" i.e. I use a piece of chalk to keep count on a nearby park bench or concrete/asphalt or a 3M sticky pad/pencil (won't blow away in the wind...but I'm much much older than "Busy Dad"...I can't remember where I left my, whatcha call its🤦‍♂️ Busy Dad, you have my upmost respect 😊..."getting old is not for sissys"
