Busy Dad Training

Busy Dad Training

This is the channel all about the Busy Dad Program. The Busy Dad Program is the unbelievably simple, effective, and time-efficient protocol that I have been following ever since my daughter was born. It has gotten me into the best shape of my life, and it can do the same for you.

If you can find just 80 minutes from within your week, and if you can pledge to set those minutes aside for intentional physical work according to the Busy Dad Program, it can work its magic on you just as it has on me.

For a crystal clear breakdown of the program, visit busydadtraining.com, and join the Busy Dad Army today!

Just a personal question. I have an old lower back injury from an accident and find that usual 6 counts make it flair up (maybe because of the extra up’s and downs). I’m currently level 2 towards 3 and have found far less pain after navy seals. Am I better to do 4 navy seals sessions for a while or 3 and 1 x 6 count? What am I missing out on by not having an equal balance of 6 counts & navy seals? Or any suggestions of how I should adjust the format (even temporarily) to not exacerbate my back but to keep my progress going in the right direction. Thanks for taking the time and for all you do. Big fan Max, Thank you.

Lovely lesson in ego defeat. Couldn’t make it. Crappy sleep, been feeling a bit sick, other factors, etc. (Not to mention I just achieved 200 for the first time and thought an added would be easy. NO. Haha) man this feeling suuuucks. Took everything in me not to throw a chair through a window haha. But that’s ok. Part of the process. Choked my way through the remaining sets as best I could (made it halfway through 7) Brutal feeling of defeat. But I’ll be back.❤

Was able to hit my PR (reached 33!) following this session. JCs are becoming one of my favs to include in the 80 mins during the week, replacing one of the Navy Seals sessions. I'm hoping this will help me get to level 4 navy seals soon.

OMG. I was able to do this one one year ago. Then continued to grow to 227 PR, then at one point I got distracted and frankly lazy and was doing a lot of 40 minute sessions where I did not go full out. I dropped my 20 minute 6 counts to 185 and had to struggle back to 200 for like three months and just reclaimed my level 2 today. Sitting here dripping sweat and so grateful to you Max. You and your program really make us and our lives better. Cheers!

Finally got this yesterday. Was like my 5th or 6th attempt. For me it’s always my legs that fail first in the 6 counts , rather than my cardio or my pushups. That is standard right ?

The BDP is just so good. Hit level 2 in 6c for the first time ever yesterday, so decided I'd have a bit of a recovery 10c today. Current PR is 71, and this workout used to kill me just a few weeks ago but today it was fairly easy. Heart rate never got above 150, 120 average. Crazy progress. As ever, thank you Max for developing this and providing the follow alongs. Eternal gratitude.

Max is an absolute true gent. His burpee coaching is first class and I’ve been coached by him since he started the 1 to 1’s. I’m the type of person that needs accountability and failing myself or Max is not an option. My weight has dropped significantly and my fitness has gone through the roof. Family and friends comment on the changes and I feel so much better in myself and life in general. Also - as I’ve watched Max’s you tube content these last few months my young children have even taken an interest. Nothing better than seeing your little ones exercising and seeing the benefits. I’ve got a long way to go until level 4 but that’s where I’m going!!!!

Im 53 and started training with Max four months ago. Max keeps me accountable, i haven't missed an 80 minute week at all. This is from someone who before BDT always had low willpower and low motivation to exercise. I was at 1C, then got to 1D and am now on my way to 2. Lost lots of weight, added muscle, looking and feeling much better. Thanks Max!

Received one-to-one coaching from Max and can wholeheartedly recommend it. In addition to accountability, Max gave me insight and inspiration that helped me keep progressing. I tested in at 1C back in early January and am now a proud Level 3 practitioner. This works.

Max, after more than a year of workouts on the BDP, I’ve just completed both the 6-count and NS level 2 for the first time (and still 1 more 6 count to do tomorrow). As a 51 year old with a sedentary job, I feel fitter than I have for years. Thanks for the inspiration Max, you’ve helped so many people like me to find fitness again and I can now finally wear the blue BDP t-shirt that’s been in my wardrobe for months! P.S. I’ve just subscribed to David’s channel.

a lighter alternate to hands on ground/floor (flat surface) is puting them on a round bar on the ground; I use the back side of a soccer goal. I almost feel guilty doing it because the reps are probably 5% easier cardiovascularly, and maybe 30-50% easier on the wrists. if I were healthy and did 500 this way, I certainly wouldn't feel right buying the 500 burpee T-shirt However.... if I was injured, especially a wrist; this is a fantastic way to get some reps in before healing and going back to "pure" burpees
