15-minute arm workout with dumbbells for biceps and triceps

Oftentimes people are under the misconception that you need a lot of fancy equipment, a lot of time, and even a lot of different weights to get get toned, lean muscles.
That's totally not the case!
Today I'm taking you through one of my favorite circuit workouts that you can do at home to sculpt amazing arms with just two dumbbells.
This at-home arm workout only takes 15 minutes to complete, is set up in a timed interval format, and is a great way to tone and tighten the major muscles in your arms.
We'll be working the biceps (front of the arm) and triceps (back of the arm) pretty heavily with this one! Let's get to it!
This workout is in a timed interval format. You'll perform each exercise as many times as you can in 40 seconds, rest or 20 seconds, then move on to the next exercise for a 40/20 interval. We'll run through all 5 exercises once and then complete those sets 2 more times (three total) for an amazing arm burner in no time at all!

Here are a list of the exercises you'll complete in this workout:
Overhead triceps extensions - 40 seconds on, 20 seconds off
- Stand with your core tight and the weights behind your head with your elbows bent.
- Squeeze your triceps as you push the weights up and over your head all the way to full extension.
- Slowly return to the starting position.
Dumbbell curl to military press - 40 seconds on, 20 seconds off
- Stand with your core tight, arms at your sides, weights at your hips, with your palms forward.
- Bend your elbows to curl the weights up to your shoulders.
- Rotate your elbows out and complete an overhead press with the dumbbells.
- Reverse the steps to return to the starting position.
Standing triceps kickbacks - 40 seconds on, 20 seconds off
- Stand bent over at the hips to a 45 degree angle (hinge at your hips, don't round at your back).
- Pull your elbows behind you and bend your arms to 90 degrees.
- Keep your core/back tight as you contract you triceps to straighten out your elbows.
- Slowly return to the starting position.
Alternating hammer curls - 40 seconds on, 20 seconds off
- Stand with your core tight, arms slightly in front of you, weights at your the front of your hips, with your palms facing your hips.
- Keep your palm facing your torso as you perform a biceps curl up to your chest.
- Alternate one arm and then the other for the 40-second time period.
Skull crushers- 40 seconds on, 20 seconds off
- Lay on your back with your arms extended straight up towards the ceiling.
- Slowly bend your arms to lower the dumbbells down to your temples.
- Contract your triceps to push the weights back up towards the ceiling.
You then repeat this circuit through 3 times total for a killer 15-minute arm burner!!

Dude great stuff! Very simple workouts that had my arms on fire by the end of it. I have done it several times this week just starting, and I already feel a difference in tightness in my triceps and deltoids specifically. Super happy I came across this I'll be continuing this!

I just completed this work oot. I had been struggling with the overhead one . I made it through all three of them, I was struggling with the last one but I made it with 15 pound dumbells! Thanks! I use 20 ilbs dumbells on everything but the overhead exercise.

I’m a 59 yr old lady trying to strengthen and tighten my arms, love this video 😊
I do the 10 Minute Plank Challenge everyday and this Bi and Tris a few times a week. When I do the skull crusher I’ve found if I raise my legs instead of keeping my feet on the floor I give my abs a workout at the same time. I’m 53 from England. A few regular Tone and Tighten sessions combined with skipping (jump rope) helps keep me in good shape. Thanks.

This is a great workout that can be done at home! I would not do it every day because you don't want to work the same muscles back to back. I would take at least a day off in between and work a different muscle group.

Great video, thanks for posting! I usually work out 5 days a week inside my house due to the quarantine. My workouts are between 45 - 60 minutes. If I do this 15 minute arm workout, should I add something more, say leg wokouts to complete a 45 minute training or just leave it at 15 minutes? Thanks!

You want to try not to work the same muscle groups back to back so if you did legs the day before, I would do this workout twice or add in some cardio.

Yes, this workout is great for building muscle as long as you are using a weight that is challenging.

I was in a bad car accident and had to get surgery on my left wrist so I struggle with some type of nerve damage on my wrist so it's hard to put that much weight on it. Any ideas what I should do to get rid of it so I can feel comfortable working out on my left arm?
A resistance band can be used for this workout too if you don’t have dumbbells.

My arms are really strengthening and toned. Today I switched to a 5kg dumbells pair from 3 kg. I found doing overhead pull downs and skull crushers difficult with increased weight. Can I switch to 3 kgs during the workout for these two exercise?? Please advise

this is my second day of your 15 minute tone and tighten and i also incorporated the 20 minute one too. so is it ok to do the two together? i will start your tummy exercises as soon as i master the 15 and 20 min tone and tighten . If i do these 3 tines a week when shall i see results? just to let you know i have been on utube doing other trainers arms exercises but i just came upon yours this week and you are the best for me and how you explain about the 3 heads and the 2 heads. . You never want to work the same muscles back to back. You always want to give them some time to rest and recover. You could do this workout 2-3 times a week.
Planning to follow this training for a month with 5 LB dumbbells and see how it goes. Btw, is it safe to do this daily?

That is completely normal! The triceps are a much smaller muscle so using lighter weights is common!

I do this workout everyday I do the first 15 take a 5 or 10 minute break then do it again I'm seeing major results and I'm quickly getting toned is it good to do this everyday? I do take one day off which is sunday

Just focus on eating as healthy as possible- lean meats, fruits, veggies and whole grains.
