15 ISOLATED People Who Must Hate Humanity

Ойын-сауық

The homes on this list are so remote, their owners must hate the outside world. Ellidaey island would make a great summer vacation spot though. I hope you all enjoy today's video on isolated people and their homes.

So nice to see some new and interesting content. Usually with the different top 10's YT channels, it goes like this... a count down of 'isolated/loneliness homes' is always just a rehash of the same old, same ol', boring repeats. So refreshing to see some well researched, new stuff.

This island Ellidaey has never been owned by Bjork the Icelandic singer. This island is not remote. It´s only 10 minutes sailing from my home town In Westman-islands.The inhabitants in Heimaey the main island are about 5000 and from the airport it´s only twenty minutes flight to Reykjavik the capital city. The house in Ellidaey is only for hunters who rent the island for decades.

Number 15: Actually, no one lives in this house since the 30s. Number 14: This is in Connecticut, 2 minutes away from the city. Number 13: Actually, this is a rural house open for rental to the public. Number 12: This is literally in the middle of New York city. Number 11: Actually, this is a museum. Number 10: This is a mill, and a part of the National Register of Historic Places since 1985. Me: Well, this is going great... No one is actually living in these houses, and my uncle lives in more isolation than any of these places anyway. He lives 2 miles away from the nearest person (just to name one example).

Total isolation is great until you get tired of living surrounded by hungry fish, you start dreaming of going for a walk, or literally anything else. You realise you’re trapped without any options because you need others to help you get out, but alas you’ve built yourself a castle with a moat full of predatory hungry fish, who see you as their next meal. Having cutoff yourself from others, to prove that you’re too cool for the rest of us, might be your own undoing.

Believe it or not, I've been staying home alone for 4-5 years. Already cut contact with my friends (ex friends?) from back in the day. No phone numbers whatsoever in my contact lists of both mobile and Windows, other than my mother and bother. I mean what's so boring or hellish about living alone in era of this much technological marvel and the internet!? You can do anything you want without stepping a foot outside. I've sick of coming across all these peoples bitching about how sad and miserable they been living home with this coronavirus thing happening outside. And some people even post the "days of home staying" like it's a thing to be boast about! How ridiculous of this society!? If you have a couple of hobby and interests that can conduct at home, you're good to go. Oh btw, yes, I have complete satisfaction with my life, and current lifestyle. I don't even want abit of thing to change of my current life, socially or economically/job wise and relationship wish. No depression or mental shift whatsoever all these years. I mean i had even forgot how to be sad or cry or sort. What's so sad with life?! I mean you're alive for f sake afterall, with that thing called brain up in the head from birth which is the most useful thing ever in the planet. As long as you have your brain what's there to born? You have shit tons of things to do with that thing without go doing gossiping with your friends at bar or shaking one's own body in the club (all of which i deem *boring* or in other words *has no meaning result *for me* *).

I just lost all respect for these list makers. The story about the house in the St.Lawrence makes it seem like this place is close to NYC. It’s a 6+ hour drive away way up in the middle of no where on the Canadian border. But it’s in an area called the “thousand islands” and sits right next to million dollar homes and a castle on its own island. No pictures of that. Just of NYC and the island without any of its actual surroundings. Sad.

Love all your videos. Very well done. Narrator has a fantastic voice. My one and only criticism of the narration is please say the word; "Tourist" and all its other forms,Tour,Tourism,etc....correctly. It is pronounced: T'o'r-ist. Not T'e'r-ist. Like "tore" a piece of paper. Not "ter" a piece of paper. I know it's picky, but it is a word that is used quite a bit in many of your videos. I know,I know. Feel free to give me a tongue lashing! It's just one of those things that grates on me. I just think when it comes to narration everything should be pronounced correctly. I mean that is the job. We try to do all other jobs as perfectly as possible, why not this one? Ok ready..... GO! Everybody tell me what a tool I'm being! Anyway thx again for the great videos. ☮️
