It took me 11 years to earn my doctorate. What kept me motivated was having an inherent interest in my field and always staying focused on the long term outcome. I can’t even tell you how hard it was to make the sacrifices while my buddies were already making money and having fun. Another thing you can do: get a picture of someone who is outstanding in their field (e.g., a professional you respect, Mamba, etc.). When you’re questioning if you should watch tv, play video games, or have fun, ask the person in the picture what you should do. You will receive your answer quickly.

Hi Dr Webb! These are some wonderful tips that even I have used during my 12 year journey of becoming a CRNA with 5 kids! One of the best things I did to keep myself motivated was to attend an anesthesia conference when I was a brand new registered nurse. I was charged a student fee and was able to attend the conference. At this conference I was able to get hands on with fiberoptics and intubate mannequins with various anesthesia equipment and met active duty CRNAs who shared stories and words of wisdom! I was pumped to say the least! I highly recommend people attending conferences that pertain to their future career and get networking with people early on in the game! Much respect Dr Webb!

Hey Antonio my name is Colin Maddox. As I lay in bed here in San Antonio with a torn pectoral and a torn TFL muscle I'm calling upon you to save my life. I've spent the last 5 years of my life in scrutinizing pain (torn muscles that physicians failed to recognize.. I dealt with a 50% partial tear on my infraspinatus for 3 years and physicians wouldn't give me surgery because "the MRI doesn't show anything". 14 months ago and 16 days I got it repaired. My PT was overly aggressive and I tried telling them but they insisted to continue moving at the speed they were(this is where the pectoral injury came). In fact they even gave me a PT student at one point smh.. Long story short once again nobody is listening to me and I've lost all sanity. Every day I have 20-30 panic attacks which lead to me uncontrollably shaking because I'm in so much fucking pain and I'm about done with it all. 5 years man it's been fucking 5 YEARS every day living in hell. I'm not living like this much longer. I can't even fucking walk and can hardly sit down and defecate without crying. Then I go to the emergency room right? And they shove some fucking Valium down my throat and say "contact a surgeon". Physicians failing to listen to me has cost me everything. God forbid if you decide my life is worth saving I will do everything in my power to be the surgeon nobody has ever seen because this has me wanting to HANG myself. Am I loud enough yet? Dude - drop the KZread aspirations for now and focus on school. Find some highly respected doctors and imagine what they had to do to make themselves great.

Amen I be looking at the volume of the mcat material and I think 🤔 should I really be a doctor

Way to go your a model.

Don't do so much social media when trying to get a goal and seeing people doing all kinds of things. What you see is not always true. Have people around you who encourage and support you is something else to consider also.

I have a question for you, Antonio. I've been watching your videos for a while now & they are soooo inspiring and honestly keep me going through nursing school. I've never had a problem the 2 years ive been in school with studying and having practically no social life. I've been married for almost 2 years now and I can hardly ever go anywhere with my husband cause I'm always studying... Sometimes I have to stop from beating myself up cause I'll feel guily & think "well if I would have studied earlier this morning, or later last night I'd have made time for later to do something." I was wondering how your experience has been in your long journey of school? Have you ever had this problem? Also, if you had any particular way you studied concepts & would share that'd be fantastic!!
