Its incredible combination of luxury and performance. Konigseg might be faster by a notch but Id rather drive a car thats “slower” in a luxury than have a car faster by seconds but when I drive it I feel like im gonna die.

JXGaming that’s not what this record is about. The Jesko Absolut will smash the Chiron record. Also the Chiron SS record was never a proper record run and Bugatti Never claimed that they have the Production Car Land Speed Record. The run was only done in one direction. To classify for a world record, you need to drive the other direction as well.

JXGaming the Bugatti Chiron SS will be the last car to target the Production Car Land Speed Record, so will the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut. The Jesko Absolut has a much lower coefficient of drag, is lighter and more aerodynamic then the SS. The Jesko Absolut is after then the Chiron SS.

Every single car company started from scratch and koenisegg just had better funds a while ago then bugatti so VW (best car company of course for owning so many companies) baught Bugatti and gave it a new sight of vision. No company does shit alone they always have people that work either with or for them. Bugatti was mainly focused on power, koenisegg was focused on weight and beating Bugatti’s record. Well fucking done but the next fucking Day ford could release is GTX or something that can hit 450 kmh. No matter what but Bugatti besteed 2 records in a row the first; the 300 kmh with the Veyron and now the 400 kmh with the chiron. Afterall now the speedtail of McLaren and the TESLA roadster are gonna beat both

Koenigsegg is my favorite supercar manufacturer in fact. Yet Bugatti still makes my head spin. Both are truly amazing, so pick your favorite. Never forget that this is a competition of a lifetime that would not exist without the other company. Bugatti has side barriers, nothing "could" happen.

Love both cars but you pay a price for the extra 5 seconds because it's a lightweight hardcore race car. The Bugatti is much more quiet and comfortable adding weight. All depends on what's more important to you..

Bugatti is almost 50% heavier than Koenigsegg. According to wiki, Chiron's curb weight is 1,996 kg whereas Agera RS' is 1,395. With higher power to weight ratio its only logical that Koenigsegg trumps Chiron in this challenge. Both cars are prime examples of state of the art engineering.

koenigsegg has the best engine. Without turbo almost 100hp per litre . Bugatti only manages half that. Just uses huge blowers to improve its power

Oh Dave, you probably misunderstood me because you are such an expert in mathematics. You most likely think that IF x is 50% heavier than y, then y must be only half as much heavy as x. Wish i was a deep thinker like you mate. Lets do some basic math; Koenigsegg is 1395 kgs, Chiron weighs in at 1995. If i make a claim that Chiron weights 50% more than Koenigsegg, then Chiron must weigh 1.5 times as much. If you multiply 1395 by 1.5, then Chiron must weigh 2092 kgs. In reality, Chiron at 1996 kg, is 43% heavier than Koenigsegg, because it is what you get if you devide 1995 by 1396. Yes, i rounded 43% to 50%. My bad. On the flip side, Koenigsegg weighs 70% percent of what Chiron does. because 1396 is roughly 70% of 1995. Class over, you are dismissed son.

Damn thats a huge difference in seconds. And to think koenigsegg is just one mans dream and buggatti is basically all of VW

It was indeed another Chiron. But unlike many say. "The only other car fast enough to film Chiron's 0-400-0 run, is another Chiron obviously!"... is wrong. It could have been a Koenigsegg, but that would've made filming harder, since on full throttle, the Egg will just outrun the chiron. So you would have to manage it perfectly. Other options are ofc Supra, GT-R Nismo, and other sleeper cars.

I'm I the only one seeing how stunning this machine called a Bugatti looks in this video

My main take away is that the guy driving the Chiron was wearing business casual and looked calm as a cucumber and the guy in the Agera was in a fireproof racing suit and a helmet. Now all of us would probably rather have a white knuckle drive the Agera but The Bugatti is a beast and a comfy luxury car to boot and the amount of engineering that went into making that possible is freaking insane.

Buggati makes people believe that they build the fastest cars in the world. Koenigsegg lets people know that they make the fastest cars in this world.

Bugatti doesn't make anyone believe anything. Bugatti makes luxury boats that go like hell. It's just they held the world record with the veyron for so long that people assume that the more powerful newer Chiron is now the fastest. However Koenigsegg comes along and uses what is closer to an F1 car with a second seat to dethrone Bugatti as they set world records. It's even pretty obvious in this video.

I think it's a different tool for a different job and adding that much more hp to the ford would completely change its dynamics. Like when someone takes an e30 m3 and puts in a 6-8 or 10'cylinder. Why? Ford was out to win Lemans, not beat Guinness records. (Just my 2 cents).

the best way to tackle which is the fastest is through an actual race to really find out who wins to come out the finish line first.

I think the difference between the 2 cars is shown in the test drivers and the video. Bugatti: test driver is all dressed up no safety equipment. Luxurious experience l, looks fancy. Koenigsegg: rest driver is in a race suit with a helmet. Race car style, with a serious attitude. Video Bugatti: very chopped up and edited video showing multiple different camera angles at impossible speeds for a camera car to be at. Koenigsegg: montage of suiting up and prep. Video of inside showing the entire run with computer data on screen. Bugatti is a company about luxury and apparently going fast. Koenigsegg is a company about performance and trying for the best while also being a bit luxurious. Bugatti is a company ran by VW. Koenigsegg doesn’t have a major car manufacturer backing them. The underdog is Koenigsegg and they play by the rules. They show the evidence and follow the rules for official top speed runs. Bugatti however doesn’t show everything. They glorify what they do without making it official. They never did an official top speed test by the rules so basically there 304mph run doesn’t count. It’s cool, but it really just seems like branding. Like here’s a “300mph” car, yet when you buy it it has a “limiter” similar to the top speed of previous models.

1:40 the Chiron probably ran out of gas.

Simply Bugatti aims at top speed records and not making it quick off the line.

This is so fast I honestly thought it was fake at first! You definitely don’t want to see any deer or raccoons jumping out at that speed!!!

Gotta love how there's that final gear for when you need to go faster than 320 km/h 😂

Bugatti Created not for anyone fast to reach the best speed, but created to score the highest top speed

The weight of the cars are very different, The chiron weighs about 2 tons while on the other hand, the koenigsegg weighs around 1300KG Not to mention that with the Chiron, it's nice and relaxing and there is no major shaking at all and the koenigsegg has visible shaking. Not to mention that the Chiron video had to have shaking added to it so it was more intense, in reality it just looked like a normal car going let's say 50mph. Edit: overall, both cars are very beautiful cars but one must take these things in mind!

Buggati: Hey we have made a world record! 0-400-0 within 42 seconds! We are the best! Lamborghini: wow bro! Good work! Ferrari: Hmm. Ferrari likes it. Tesla: Really? Koenigsegg: *hold my beer*

Big Koenigsegg fan myself but when you see the inside of the cars the Chiron is a luxury car that does this speed and brakes this way and the Agera RS is a race car with some creature comforts added to make it a road car. If you had to drive one as a daily driver you'd have the Chiron, in a race you'd have the Agera.

I disagree. The Koenigsegg is meticulously designed down to the smallest of detail. Carbon fiber and real metal everywhere. They are both luxurious and fast but one is faster

@@MistaRoyanT I don't think the point of the original comment was to dismiss the koenigsegg as a well designed, well constructed car. It was simply to compare them as daily drivers. The koenigsegg is lightening quick but the chiron is a car quite capable of being used daily and on motorways and for the 10 minute trip to the shop. It's like comparing the Aston Martin Vulcan and a Rolls Royce Wraith. They're bot quick, they're both designed to within an inch of their life, theyre both the peak of engineering, but you're gonna want the wraith for a daily.

Last time they did that, with the Agera RS, was it 4 or 5 Records they beat? In a single day, with a ordinary mass produced tire from Michelin.. If you didn't immediately get triggered and began sputting insults out you would've realized that. Secondly, I don't give two shits about either of these cars. They are so expensive and impractical there is no point in owning one. I'd rather drive an M5 or AMG and try one of these super cars for fun on a track once or twice. Seriously though why are you so upset? I seriously don't give a shit man, but u have your panties in a bunch over cars that you could never afford and car manufacturers that don't even know you exist.
