Simon Vuille Renault have the most sluggish suspension ever, when they were testing their cars, most of them rolled on their doors side because of the high gravity center and soft suspension

This is Koenigsegg’s first top speed run in 12 years, being done with the CCR 12 years ago.

What is more ridiculous than the record itself is that the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2’s the Agera RS has was able to survive it moving at 285 MPH.

Bugatti's boss just quit his job 😂😂😂. And John Hennesey has full hands of work to do now to beat Koenigsegg.

First off, nobody has any footage of the actual record run. The drive took the car a mile down the road and then accelerated. Nobody was even close to the action unless you were in the helicopyer. Secondly, to beat the official world record, Koenigsegg had to do the attempt both ways and take the average of both runs. Not only did they smash the previous record, they broke their own record from 0-400-0 KPH.

Incredible power and speed the acceleration when he floored it at about 350km/h was unbelievable. Interesting to know what it can do around the Nürburgring Nordschleife (without crashing). If I had he money I'd still prefer the McLaren P1 though.

Poh my god I just realised something! This, because it was done on a highway, is not just any record run! Koenigsegg have actually broken an 80 year-old record too! The highest speed ever achieved on a public road, which was set back in 1938 by a Mercedes W125 (the W154s were the year after that I think) that hit 432.7 km/h!

if you stick your hand out the window, going 278 mph, then wave your hand forward, do you break the speed record because your hand is then moving past you which would be faster than the car?

Ted Cameron the one:1 engine is a factory option for all Agera RSs. That’s like saying the Porsche GT2RS’s Nurburgring récord doesn’t count because the car’s engine is more powerful than a stock Carrera

NY EXPOSED you realise the bug is built to hit 300mph at some point in its career. They'll probably release a super sports version that will do the run and get over 300mph.

A jet with 4 wheels. It even has a reinforced windshield for the ridiculous speed. Engineering at it's finest.

Geoffs shop is right next to my office. I was hanging out while they unloaded the cars from the trailer.

you could also argue that it stops slower down hill. but that was the top speed run they did the 0-400-0 on flat surface they didn't film it. koenigsegg doesn't want anyone uploading the world record run before its on their channel

Very good point! So maybe it would of beat the Bugatti with higher amount of seconds. He said it beat it by nearly 10 sec. Who's record was beaten, the Chiron or the Veyron. Are you unable to use Google? If you aren't, you should be able to work-out that the car has to do two runs, in opposite directions, on the same stretch of road. The speeds and times are then averaged, which gives you the official speed. Unless you go somewhere like Bonneville or Hakskeen Paan in South Africa. Where you still have to do two runs. In opposite directions. Over the same route.
