Hi, I usually don't trim my pots on a chuck unless the bottom are too small to stand by themselves.

I guess what I mean, is couldn't you just trim the lid as it sits in the body, when you previously had the body already centered on the wheel and held in by the coils? That's how I usually do small teapots, as it lets me see the shape of the lid in relation to the rest of the curves on the body.

Is there a reason you trim the lid on the wheel head, instead of on the body as a chuck?

Hi When you center the pot, do you focus on centering the top or bottom? It looks as if you center the bottom, but I just want to be sure.
