Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

People asked me what kind of clay I used. Well! I used porcelain In my home studio. To be exact, I mixed two different porcelain which are Coleman and Glacia (from local) at 2:1 ratio. At other studio, I used stoneware clay: T-2 (from local) and B-Mix at 2:1 ratio.

A beautiful trio of lidded o[ pots There's something beautiful about lidded jars, the lid really finishes the pot admirably. I must try one of these when I am well enough to throw again, love the pot very much Hsin-Chuen, thank you for sharing your talent with us. Very pleased you managed to straiten out the two curves to make the box straight.

Hi, it is chattering around 22:30. Depending on the way you hold the tools, the angle of the tools, the wheel speed and the softness of clay you could create many different kinds of chattering patterns. Please watch my video #113. Learning the Chattering Tips for Texturing the Pottery Surface for more info.

Fluting through chattering is really impressive!! I am always a big fan of your skill and work!! I have never seen any potter doing fluting through chattering even when I studies ceramics in Kyoto Japan!! Thank you for sharing!! Wonder if you could share how to make your fluting turning tool in the future? 希望將來有機會到您的陶藝教室去參觀~~ from住在東岸的台北人

Hi! I love your work. I am currently taking a ceramics class and we are using manual wheels to work on. I find that the fine refinement and detailing is really difficult. Have you ever worked on a manual wheel before? Would you happen to have tips?

Can you tell me what you fire at? When I tried burnishing with a spoon, my clay came out kind of a grayish color when it usually comes out white.

Claudia Ortega Look for decorative pebbles perhaps. Smooth polished rocks, glass, or quartz. Home supply stores often enough will have them in the gardening sections. They are also affordable to order online.
