Hi there, your tap and second stroke of the double seem to be at the same height, not like in your (great!) double stroke video - I don’t quite understand how this is the inverted double stroke? Thank you!

Hi Studio Snippets, I assume you are referring to the very first ones in this video. Since there are no accents written, we play the exercises in Stick Control, which means max height for slow tempos. I hope that helps, cheers!

thank you sir, this lesson are useful for me as very very beginner, lil question when "rebound control" at 60bpm as u demonstrated, should i lockin my fingers and tighten then let my wrist do their job or just relaxing my finger as naturally?and this type kind of rebound control lesson intend to focus building up on my wrist or finger?or both of them?im very sorry for that ridiculous questions, again thank you sir 🙏🙏

Hi Ben, your question is very valid. I think it's best to use the wrists at this slow tempo and keep all the fingers, especially the pinky and ring fingers, gently wrapped around the stick at all times. This way your wrists will get some work out and you will develop a feeling for the rebound the stick wants to do. Try to follow the stick up as it bounces to where it feels weightless and make sure you are pulling up at least to a full stroke height. I made this video on the topic check it out, cheers! kzread.info/dash/bejne/YqyfudSBcdCbiJc.html

In 4.b it feels like the accented beat is the 2nd down stroke for each hand?

It’s an inverted double stroke, it’s on the second hit of a given hand. Hope that helps.
