Lee is one of the most intelligent comedians on this show. I think David knows that, and that's why he considers him an adequate colleague. But I really like how Lee always looks at the camera when he gets such a ridiculous and obvious lie. Kudos to the producers. Picking Lee and David as captains is a once-in-a-lifetime achievement.

He's a comedic genius and the show just wouldn't be the same without him. He compliments David's angry logic comedy very well and Rob in the middle holding court is just perfect. I love this show!

The unholy trinity of British comedy. What an achievement of English television. May they continue for many years with good health, ludicrous tales, and Bob Mortimer making David Mitchell’s brain melt with surrealism!

David coming up with “Tinky Winky’s got an urgent purple member” is one of my favorite lines! And anytime Lee has to come up with a system for a ridiculous lie is amazing, of course the most ridiculous one was actually true!😂

Lee is always given impossible stories and he’s such a good sport he tries to make sense of it,always giving everyone a good laugh.

He doesn't try all the time. Sometimes the cards are so absurd that Lee just goes "ah screw it, they obviously know this is a lie, let's just have fun with it". The cook book lie comes to mind

In June I ended up in hospital where I was kept in a coma for several weeks. When I woke up I was still in an alternate universe not quite "with it", when this male nurse came up to me and said "Hi Frank, you're at the ... hospital and my name is Ron". "Sure you are" I said and smiled knowingly, absolutely convinced it was Lee Mack standing next to my bed holding my hand. I somehow reasoned that I was part of a prank reality tv-show, where I was the one getting pranked - and was in awe that they had been able to get *the* Lee Mack and an entire hospital staff to be part of the show. "What the hell are you doing here?", I asked. "And how the *FFFFFUCK!!!* did you learn perfect Norwegian this fast? I asked him impressed. But Lee just looked at me as if he didn't know what I was talking about 🙄 I can't remember much of the next weeks, but Ron was Lee Mack to me, and I *only* spoke English with him, or whenever he was in the room. Because they had to be reminded that I had seen through their prank! 😏 At one point I almost tore off Lee's nutbag though, but that's a different story.

@@williammcnamara9049 With drugs like that I'm almost looking forward to my palliative care 😉 I had a blast though, until I mistook the MRI machine for a cremation furnace. After a long and no doubt painful tug of nurse Mack's groin area, in an attempt to persuade him from burning me alive, they finally had to put me in straps. He sat down very gently the next few days, but we soon became BFFs again. Still, what impressed me the most was his remarkable Norwegian, with a perfect dialect from the west coast. 👍

David and Lee are a great combination, this is such a good show.

If I ever meet David Mitchell, I'll have to ask if he remembers the colours of the Teletubbies. He said he'd NEVER forget!

Lee is such a comic genius.

A problem with this show having permanent hosts is that they've essentially told every unbelievable story from their lives at this point. However Lee is so quick that he makes it work regardless, even with these ridiculous some of the premises they give him are.

No ones complaining about getting free entertainment haha that's exactly the choice and we're spoiled by it, but should have really been the official channel starting it instead of seeing the stuff already by unofficial channels. It's not like it's new material haha

Lee is right in that the Ouija Board was a board game of sorts, though it was sold by Parker Brothers, not Waddingtons, or MB. It’s original use was to demonstrate the Ideomotor Effect.

If I didn't know better, I'd assume this show was built around Lee Mack's ability to bullshit quickly. Then the producers created David Mitchell as his perfect counterpart.

I got used to seeing David and Lee without a beard but seeing Frankie Boyle without a beard was an experience

a couple of the seek-bar descriptions are off, because there's apparently 2 sections where lee can tell the circumference of someone's head.. edit: also the right/left handed section at 26:58 is actually tea/coffee drinkers...

The irony is that if Katherine Parkinson's head really is 24 inches, that's 60cm and would make her a "Large" hat size

This is how you actually calculate it, doomsday method You learn that May 9th 1900 was a Wednesday. You learn that every year, that day increases by one, or two if it a leap year. So 55 years after 1900 (which is 13 leap years) = 55+13 = 68 days increased, but every 7 days we are back to the same day. So 68%7 = 5, so wednesday plus 5 days is Monday. 9th of may 1955 was a monday, so 14 of mai is just 5 days more which is saturday
