    when he does that it helps to create that uneven rim that is on the finished teabowl, it is a simple trick that can have great results

    Interestingly, at first I thought how cleverly the wizard made 5 hills on the chawan. But he then took it and fixed it.

    You level it first (tip: use a bubble leveler)

    I have learned a lot from watching your videos and was wondering what tool you are using for trimming at the end. All i have is the trimmer that is in a loop with dull blades. thanks!

    I'd almost like to see you holding the finished product. It is hard for me to grasp throwing a 6" "tea bowl". I need to see the shrinkage to get an idea.

    Isn't this style of tea bowls exclusively Japanese? I can never bring myself to appreciate this style though... It doesn't look like it takes as much skills as it would to make the Chinese style tea bowls I'm use to seeing.
