So incredibly clearly explained! Thank you for taking the time to cut cross-sections to show hand positioning and relationship at each step. I'm a beginner student and it's really helpful to see each step dissected and repeated. @potterylady1 Not at all, when I started my pottery class everyone was throwing this way in Taiwan. It was when I came to U.S. to see other people throwing using knuckle or sponge. Don't you think when I hold the Plexiglas upside-down my fingers/hands form naturally both inside and outside. Don't you think the outside fingers are more stable when throwing this way?

THANK YOU for explaining each step and hand position clearly, especially by cutting the cylinder in half, and using the clear cylinder, that was SO helpful!!! This is by far THE BEST throwing video I have seen on KZread. I too learned the right thumb method when I took classes in France and find it really natural after the first few times, but I like how you position your hand even better than how I learned. Cheers!
