Another great video. Guess we’ll have to go back to El Paso again. We have only done a couple of these things. We are vegetarians. So we have sought out different places to eat. One was Lick it Up Mexican “foodtruck” inside a bar near the ‘alligator’ plaza and and Savage Goods in the Sunset Hts area. We discovered a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired house near the University as well. Wanted to camp overnight at Huerco Tank, but it was full. Highly recommend Habernero’s Fresh Mex in Las Cruces and checking out the Billy the Kids spots.

Lived in chuco town for twenty something years and it is ours. It’s big and trafficky yet we don’t mind. It’s proud and somewhat graphically segregated but not in a bad way. It literally means “the pass,” as it meant that travelers would just go on their merry way to Cali or Eastern Texas and vice a versa, and we feel ok with that. It’s safe, secluded and quite different to most US cities. Not much to do here and our cultural statistics are probably not quite up to standard but, our town possesses charisma and personality unmatched by few.
