11,000rpm GMA T.33 "Mule" makes world debut at Goodwood
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Gordon Murray Automotive's second car is the T.33. Fitted with the same V12 as the T.50, just detuned slightly, and revving to over 11,000rpm the car is due to debut soon. At the 81st Members' Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport, the T.33's development mule, nicknamed James, made a thrilling track debut as it screamed around the Motor Circuit.

SUCH A MARVEL OF ENGINEERING. THANK YOU GORDAN FOR A VERY MUCH UNDER APPRECIATED MASTERPIECE.
Now THIS is Podracing !
The sound is phenomenal, I think we can all agree on that. But something about the modest yet incredibly sleek body lines speaks to me. It has some GT40 and Chaparral 2D DNA somewhere in there.
Amazing supercar Gordon Murray build😊

T.33 Spyder vai ser o carro mais lindo já feito, imagina ouvir esse V12 11.000 rpm sem teto e com a entrada de ar bem em cima da sua cabeça
Seems to have a lot of body roll for a supercar and apparently it doesn't have adaptive dampers, nor even a rear anti-roll bar. I'm sure the reasoning comes down to "weight" but I'd be interested in how much weight that saves. Definitely a pure analog supercar experience with RWD, manual, V12
The T.33 Spider is the most beautiful supercar today.

If we are talking endurance, probably v6 or v8 turbo hybrids. Sprint probably something simular with more focus on displacement and ev power more for acceleration only like the 2016 lmp cars. Its rly the best we have today
@mm6705
Ай бұрын
i'd guess a high revving, hot v8 with large turbos, servo driven valves maybe, and electric assist with a high discharge/recharge battery pack. in a true unlimited class they would all run fans to modulate downforce multiple times throughout each corner. You can't beat a car with potentially all its downforce available at any corner, and very little drag on the straights with block off plates that would instantly cut fan air feed...idk though yeah it would be awesome to see what people came up with.
electric cars a nice.... but nothing beats the pure emotion of a ICE esp a NA v12
@mm6705

eh, you can make pretty similar cool noises with straight cut gears in an all electric vehicle. Have you heard any of the electric race cars they put on pikes peak and the like? they are ANYTHING but silent.

It looks insanely quick?!? 🤨

Yes, thia may be a simple “ matter of suspension setup or possibly some adjustments in weight distribution. It also looks a little high off the ground in my opinion. There's a whole host of things to refine this to be race ready but it at least gives them a baseline. The engine sounds great but this will not win races of course

The well positioned race track cameras capture the cars for our convenience. It’s an illusion, if you were to see it going round that track as a spectator side on you’d see nothing but a blur and a sound of the engine zip by like a fighter jet. unless you were looking at the car head on just off centre, or from the rear at a similar angle as it quickly disappeared into the distance. Thats why you have tiered grandstands to get you one of the best views of the cars as they pass.

Am I the only person to be underwhelmed by the looks/design of this car? Sure, it sounds amazing, but could be easily mistaken for several other "Supercars" - due to it's generic & unoriginal design. Purely my opinion of course - I just wonder what other 'Petrol Heads' may think(?).
looks a bit awkward...sound the business for sure
Glorious piece of engineering, but, I'm not quite feeling the looks for some reason.
A road car engine that sound's better than any f1 car for the last 10yrs. F1 higher ups take note. Your lossing viewer's because of f1's dull engine's and in the case of sky f1 shrieking commentators.
Nightmare fuel
Gordon needs a designer. His designs are the wrong kind of early 2000's retro. This should make me think of the 60"s whilst being modern. They look like old Ascari's.
