TRAPPY GRANDDADDY OF FPV? That title should belong to Denis Gratton AKA "VRFLYER" from Quebec.... New FPV generation have no idea that as a forum group of few people, we started doing FPV back in 2001 - 2002. Actually the first FPV was done back in 1989 by Carl Berry from Texas. Trappy does it to promote his business.

@@Voidroamer Sorry I'm quite new in this, I'd like to understand the video setup here. I would say : - The overlayed 16/9 video when there is no telemetry is directly from gopro (4:56) - Video with telemetry. The telemetry from the crossfire is added to the video by an OSD on the cruiser, probably the TBS Core pnp PRO? Then the video sent directly by 5.8Ghz radio to : * white fatshark video is from the ClearView Receiver (around 6:52). The "5760" seems to be added by ClearView. And the Clearview AV signal seems to go to Trappy's white fatshark, which has no 5.8GHz antennas * green fatshark video is directly from fatshark AV receiver (7:49). the google has 5.8GHz antennas, and the video has no more "5760" Is it correct? So we don't know why the AV receiver was switched from the ground station to the fatshark goggles. Could it be that the ground station setup was failing? Or it's just simpler to use the google directly?

What sattelite lost model beacon system was he running? I know they are pretty common in GPS units sold to hikers.... and I've seen them for RC but it's been quite a while. I always kind of skimmed passed them because they required a subscription fee. Plus they only work well if you got a clear line of sight to the sky. In a pond or forest or in a city alley between buildings... not so much so.
