I'm a real outdoors country guy in W.N.Y. I'm 58 yrs old next week. It would take me almost that amount of time,to tell you about the amazing,beautiful & incredible,& often times unbelievable things I've seen out there in the wild since childhood of say 5yrs old or so. Always been a bit of a lone wolf myself out there in the wild country,just could never get enough of it. Common or mud carp are very different & shape yet similar in looks to grass carp. Take it from a guy who definitely knows. At 100lbs the mud carp is much fatter & shorter than a grass carp of the same wieght. Yes I've seen both types of that approximate size in the mouths of tributaries to lake Ontario. The mud carp is shaped or built more like or similar to a bullhead or cat fish. A really chunky guy. The grass carp are more torpedo shaped or like a section of telephone pole. A common or mud carp might reach 5 foot at 100 lbs ,where as the grass carp is more shaped like an Asia silver or big head carp & longer. The grass carp might go 7+feet at 100lbs. These are my personal experiences,sightings & observations which as unbelievable as they may be,are the reason I have contemplated toting a camera with me in more recent years. No I've not caught one that size yet,but have seen them while fishing & hiking. My personal best is about 30lbs for either which is about 42" on a grass (golden carp)

That was awsome..I have read daves book and I have met him ..such a cool guy..I almost got emotional for him what a fish..what a trip..I couldn't think of anyone else I would want to watch catch 101lb carp ..a well deserved prize for a life time of pursuing his passion..100%efforts =100%reward..hats off to the general

Great video great fishing with some awesome fish there some absolute Donkeys now so far but just looking at a few of them they didn't really have that oldish big nuckerly forehead they seem to get has they get in age so can't amagine the size of them units 👍👏👏💪
