Our 6 year old Ridge Monkey water butts are still going strong, with being used 3 days a week. This new fully detachable vented lid bung is a MASSIVE FAIL! How long before it is lost and then the water carrier is unusable? The only solution is to glue one end to keep it attached, but it is so thin that it will break in time. Next solution, glue both ends in. Or hassle Ridge Monkey for one of the original lids with no ridiculously designed removable bung. How did this get past quality control???

I’ve got one. It’s very slow. It holds waaay less than 1kg of bait, 18mm about 500g tops. Simple nice boat, but small slow and limited capacity.

Great video guys, really enjoyed watching it. Originally I'm from the Netherlands, live 30 years now in the Čech Republic. When I was still in the Netherlands I fished regularly a 50 ha gravel pit that at its deepest was over 30 m deep. It was something like this lake in your video. I would like to ask if this is a commercial or a public lake. Greetings and tight lines from the Čech Republic 🇨🇿🇳🇱.
@robinred18513 күн бұрын
I've never been there but I know the lake. I can't exactly remember but I know it was opened like a commercial fishery at the end of the 1980's. The owner was a young guy from Paris named Rafael Faraggi. I met him 1988 in St. Geniez d'Olt in the south center of France. In the same year Rafael invited me and a friend of mine and we fished together a long weekend on the Seine, west of Paris. I would like to ask if Rafael still owns the lake or is there an other owner now ??? Greetings and tight lines from a Dutchman, living in the Čech Republic 🇨🇿.

My line gets caught in the back gates, because the gates are touching! When i spread the back of the boat to try and separate the gates, the pin below then releases the tray! I literally have to modify the back gates myself now!! 🤬

You have missed a trick with this, if the bung hole was central on the lid when the tap is in the store position it would create a second seal for if the bung ever came loose.

Love to see the dogs enjoying themselves but it would be interesting to know how their health is protected and maintained. It’s not the cleanest of environments and they must get bitten quite often. Would be great to see a video on this aspect alone…many thanks for posting. 👍👍

My brother, Dad, and I, have been going to Dreamlakes for the last 20 years. We normally fish on lake 1 but fished lake 2 back in 2020 in the 3 same swims you boys are on funnily enough! Went in October so it wasn’t as sunny as your trip but the fishing was great. Heading back to Lake 1 in June but we will be definitely go back on Lake 2 next time. Great video boys 👍🏽

I we seen so much hate on this bait boat, bought it anyway. So the reality is. The controler is super easy to use with one hand if you re not from the stone age BUT it could use a auto cruise forward, i simply added a rubber band and it goes where i want it even witouth hands. The life of the baterries is More than 4 hours of pure riding time even with a deeper attached. I tested the range, Got it on 266m and it was still getting signal But it was not visible, imho the real range limit is around 300m but it has absolutely no sense to take your bait at more then 150-200m (with a baitboat). The downside of the boat is it sits quite low, IT IS a little bit slow but hey, you re fishing not racing, i didnt test it in a very choppy water, i tested it in a wind around 30 km/h and it was fine BUT the battery slots DID leak. I solved it with a ducktape around the slots but im going to try add a small amount of silicone. If anyone has solved the leaking problem please send comment. For the price of 500 i think its a very good little bait boat. If you want a large fast bait boat with two hand remote controler and a sonar that wont sink at 400m in a choppy water Buy an RT7 for 3500 :)
