Спорт

Hey everyone, Here is a video of my latest DIY E bike project, its me building and explaining some of what I do for these projects and then a quick ride at the end to see it in action. A ride review video will definitely be in the near future too!
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the video, I’m doing a 20” inch bmx bike build. It’s actually pretty cool to see how doable this is from home!

Those Electra bikes ain't cheap either! I bought one once, it was $750! I wanted the 8 Ball one, but it was more..

Hey! Cool build! So why do we need those torque brackets? Without them, the nut will be pressed agains the steel of the bike's dropout as well? The only thing I see is that part of the contact space, where the dropout is cut out to let the axle in... that would make sense. But otherwise I don't see why the dropout itself could not handle it? I just want to make my own build, so doing some study. Will appreciate any help/advice. Thanks!

Nice! You can purchase torque arms.

I've asked here in the comment to the video, so my question was - why those torque things are needed? They're as stationary as the whole dropout, right?

  • @Bbbuddy

@@AntonKoba They’re needed because the dropout isn’t designed to take the torque of propelling the bike and might bend or break from that force. The torque arm takes the strain and applies it further up the frame.

Nice build..I did a similar build with a cromoly mtb and a 1500 watt motor. According to the display I was doing 41 mph on a flat. So I figure maybe high thirties. Kinda scary on a bicycle.
