I shop at Goodwill, rummage sales and church resale shops. Two bucks usually per pair. I have a half dozen really good pairs of tactical pants that someone else got tired of with no visible defects. Legs too long, shorten them, not that hard. Waists too large, a little more work if its only two or less inches. A wife or girlfriend who sews is a good investment, spend that hundred bucks on her and your life will be much happier!

I have owned a pair of Wrangler ATGs for 3 years now, they have been put through hell and back and have held up better than other "work" pants that cost 2-3 times as much. Funny thing is, I bought my first set on vacation as an emergency replacement for another pair of pants that had ripped.

I love my 511, yes they are expensive but the last. I only buy them when they go on sale or have specials, usually about $50 which is the same as Levi's. I also have several wrangler pants and they fit great and are comfortable but they don't last as long. The quality isn't the same, I believe in buy once cry once but if your on a budget wranglers get the job done

I had an old pair of 5.11s rip on me in the crotch while climbing a ladder during a SWAT training event back in 2007. I threw them in the trash and never went back to them. From then on my mind branded them as overpriced shit.

I felt the same way about spending 100+ dollars on tactical pants, and by luck I came across these same pants in target and actually I love them. Quick drying and super comfortable doesn't really stink when using them for a few days in the woods. But after having them for about a year the material is starting to wear around my pistol holster area, on the knees, and in the back where I keep a tourniquet. All in all if on a budget there great but it's definitely a case of buy once cry once. I eventually will have to get I new pair of tactical pants and mostly will spend 100+ bucks

Growing up I only wore Levi 501s. Brand loyalty. Then I got tired of always being uncomfortable; they no long fit properly as I "matured." I started wearing only Wranglers. Much cheaper and they fit better. More important to me, the belt loops accommodated my holster better! Another option, although mostly cotton but with some spandex, are the GW Bass (Made in the USA) 5-pocket Canvas Pants at COSTCO, which come in three colors. If I were going to a run & gun shooting class, I'd wear the Bass pants! They fit me really well, and movement isn't an issue.

I wear mostly Wrangler Riggs pants. They make a heavy cargo pant and a lighter painters style. I also like the deluth fire hose pants, but they are pricey - I found some knock off ones at farm and home that are great for the cost. I work outside daily doing tree work and landscaping in MO. I do wear shorts in summer when I can.

I just bought my first pair of KUHL free ryder, prana brions, and duer pants, and I 😘 be them all. If I had to choose one pair to wear everyday, it would most definitely be the Duer, as they are definitely the softest and most comfortable pair of pants I've ever owned. However, if I were buying a pair for durability, it would most definitely be the KUHL free ryders.

i have like 8 pair or more of the wrangler outdoor pants. theyre my favorite pants ive found for under 100 bucks a pair. i wear them at work as a chef, on the weekends as an outdoors kind of guy, and even at home as a guy that likes to be comfortable. they stretch, they dry super quickly, and they allow a breeze so theyre great for hot days. theyre super light weight and although ive had the back pocket in 2 pair rip inside"from housing my knife in and out" ive only had that happen with 2 pairs and that was constant use every day. i wore those 2 pair to work every day for a year straight. id recommend them to anyone

Wranglers Lead The Way. I wear them almost everyday. As LEO, the do the job. Can dress them down and look casual (comes in khaki, green, grey) so you don’t have to look tacticool at all times. However they work great at the range for throwing extra mags in the cargo pockets. They’re worth the $25. Can get 4+ pairs for 1 pair of 5.11/Crye/Vitkos etc.

I watched your video earlier today after searching for inexpensive EDC / CCW pants, and ironically I ran across the same pants while out shopping with my wife at Rural King. Unfortunately they are no longer $27, but I bought a pair anyway. They seem very sturdy and I find them to be extremely comfortable. I really like the way the reinforcement around the knees. They feel like a good combination of heavy duty and a little stretch for comfort, which almost doesn't seem possible. Thanks for the review!

I realized that the Target pants are 96% nylon and 4% spandex, and the Rural King ones are 96% cotton and 4% spandex. I ordered several pairs of each and like them both a ton! Very similar construction. The Target pants just got here today- excellent Summer weight pants, very well made. The cotton based ones have more of a canvas feel to them, and will be nice for chilly Virginia Winters! :) They cost a little more, but still a great value at less than half of most of the tactical pants out there.

I’ve got a few pairs of those pants. Not the most durable but for occasional competition use, they will be just fine. For long-term field use, I’d go with something more durable but I still wouldn’t pay $100 for a pair or “tactical” pants. Well-made work wear can be had for far less and does exceptionally well for field use.

The big issue with many of the tactical jeans is that all of them don’t place a small pocket on top the front main left pocket. This is known as “coin pocket”. They place one on the right side but not one on the left side. And I need one there for a 9mm mag. So they are useless for me.

And the zip pockets are perfectly placed for use while strapped into 40 tons of liability. They're also light weight, and roll up to nothing in a bag. I don't really know about using them to carry mags, or flash bangs, etc. All I know is, they're great for drivers. BUT...if I were an Operator, I'd choose these over any other pants out there

To whomever is reading this and has a problem with the price. Understand this. They have a better marketing campaign, than many of the other brands you all named. They’re showing you that they’re tailoring their products to a particular clientele (LE Military and so forth). The aesthetics and style best out any other brand like wrangler for instance. They may offer the same product (utility/combat pants) and they may be more durable and strong but I guaranteeeeeee you, they look nowhere as good as Viktos pants look. You pay for style and comfort. Y’all bi&&’n about price but it’s because you value your money enough to not but $100.00 pants but I’m sure y’all spend in other ways, i.e… cameras, video/pc games and platforms, lawn equipment, boats, trucks, guns and so forth. I’m only writing this comment because I came to see a review before I purchased yet all the comments suck in here. But I get it, some of you all don’t care about your image or care about looking and having some type of style. It mattters to me because it’s a representation of character. Some of y’all look like you live in your truck and sleep with your doggs…. I’m done, ✌🏾

100% cotton is horrible for combat pants. Proppers is overrated. If you get wet or are sweaty you will stay wet. 100% nylon or a cotton/nylon or cotton/polyester blend is better. Also why pay $100 for Propper or 5.11 tactical pants when work or hiking cargo pants will do the same thing, are cheaper and are built to last longer.

  • @semper7717

This video makes no sense. The more expansive pants are for those who are out there hunting or deployed becasue they have been field tested which comes at a cost. Its not for dudes like you who just hang out in the sunshine on South Beach. How much money did Target spend on R&D to test their pants under harsh conditions? If you want to just look cool with your shades on in FL then go to Target. If you get dirty in the field environment then spend more on your gear becasue that's what will last the longest. I wore a pair of $300 Crye Precision tactical pants on deployment and they performed very well. Your target pants wouldn't last a month on deployment.
