    Thanks, Dale! I really appreciate that. Likewise, I'm with you on your journey, too. And I also enjoy farmer's walks, think they are largely overlooked, and don't do them nearly enough. Time to get them back on the program!

    This video is a very inspiring one! I am 17, and it has been 2 months since I started working out, and I am aiming to be consistent in my training. As of now, my goal is to workout and be able to change my physique until the end of 2021, and upon watching this video, I got really motivated! Keep up the good work! (Watchimg from the Philippines :-) )

    Thanks so much, Nikko Dante! 👊😀 So amazing to hear that you have started working out 2 months ago. And funny coincidence... 17 years old is also when I started my health and fitness journey, too! My best advice is to take your current consistency and think of it as a LONG TERM GAME! Having goals for the end of 2021 is great (I have some, too) and developing life-long habits that will carry you into 2031, 2041, and beyond is also important. I wish you all the best, and do let me know if you ever have any questions on your health and fitness journey!

    So inspirational Jack. I watched your videos a lot of time. I just have one question for you. Did you also take body measurements month by month? Did you make gains on the chest area or it stayed the same (lost fat and gained mass).

    this is good progress, personally id say to anyone new do progessive overload, dont limit to 100 a day, try do more each week.

    For those of us you've inspired, who for some reason can't get to a gym or can't get equipment, it's been worth it I think. But yeah, for you with the injury I get it's a different matter. I'm 5 months in with the 100 daily pushups and 20 kgs of weight loss. And wouldn't have got going if your 'digestible' solution hadn't popped up and been presented in such an approachable way. So thanks.

    Hi, sjaelfre! 👋😀 Thanks so much for your comment. It really means a lot to me, and it got me to reflect further. I totally agree... in my video reflection I focus entirely on the training, its results, and the injury risk. I totally neglected to talk about some of the social and community impact that this challenge has had: 1. Inspiring and helping others 2. Connecting with others 3. Actually starting my KZread channel in the first place, which has been a fun learning experience for me and which has helped me to feel more comfortable in my own body (publishing your body for the world to see can do that. 😂) Thanks for reminding me to see things in a different way! And wow... I'm 20 kgs. weight loss in 5 months, plus the consistent pushups... just incredible! Congratulations. I wish you continued success, and I hope some of the lessons I learned along the way will help you in continuing to train pushups while staying injury-free and making huge muscle gainz! Do you have any specific goals you are trying to hit with your training and weight loss?

    Hey Jack, im 14 I started the 100 pushups challenge 1 month ago. At the start i couldnt even do 1 pushups but now I do 200 pushups a day so far. Its hard but it had no gym open due to covid where i live. Should i continue with the pushups?

  • @JackClancy296

    @JackClancy296

    Hi, Joshua! 👋😀 First of all... WOW! Going from not being able to do 1 to now being able to do 200 a day is very impressive. Congratulations on your gainz. As for should you keep going... you will get many different answers depending on the person you ask. As for me, I say that you SHOULD continue training pushups as part of your training routine, especially since the gyms are not open. Calisthenics training is a FANTASTIC way to train, and countless people have built incredible bodies doing bodyweight exercises. HOWEVER, now that your first month is complete, I could recommend the following: 1. Start adding REST to your routine. Maybe 1 day pushups, 1-2 days rest from chest training. Rest actually promotes better muscular development, not to mention helping to avoid injury. Training chest 2-3x per week is recommended. 2. Add some variety to your pushups with new variations, angles, amounts of resistance, etc. It will challenge you more, keep your training fresh, and stimulate overall better chest development. 3. Start paying even more attention to your form while performing your exercises. 4. Add some warm ups before your pushups and stretching after you are finished. 5. Most importantly... make sure you also train your entire back, rear shoulders, core, and legs! Having a muscular chest is nice, but having a muscular BODY is even nicer! Stay consistent (this is a long term game, not a sprint), stay safe, and good luck!

    @@JackClancy296 in short living longer haha. The story is, I went to the doctor for a physical for a job. I went in and from the doctor I went to the emergency room even though I felt fine because they told me I had really high blood pressure. At the emergency room they did a lot of blood work that I needed to stay there for two hours, and doctor came back told me the blood pressure isn't anything to worry about at least not the way the other doctor reacted, but informed me I may be prediabetic. I asked since it was prediabetic, can I do something about it. Doctor said yeah lose 20 to 30 pounds, and I'll be fine, which at the same time will help my blood pressure. Kill two birds with one stone type of deal. Fast forward I lost 30 pounds, but at that point I figured why stop there, so I looked up what I should weigh due to my height. So naturally that was my next goal, reach the heaviest I can be due to my height then I chipped away to where I am now. I figured at this point why stop, lets see how much muscle I can build haha and here we are 141, still going to lose the 5 pounds to reach a full 100 pounds loss and then focus on building muscle

    Wow... such an inspiring story. Well done. It kind of reminds me of Forrest Gump when he just starts running, and figures he made it to the end of the road so why not go to the end of town, then why not go a little further, the since he got that far why not go a little farther, etc... At the end of the day... Why Not?!?

    You should have done the 100 pushups every other day. The body needs to recover from the stress. That's why you have shoulder problems.
