This is maybe only the second time I've seen a boy wrestle a girl and he wrestled the same way he would wrestle a boy, didn't care where he put his hands or what he shoved in her face, kudos to him. Now that's equality. Maybe you hate it, maybe you love it, but no denying this is equality.

No, he still restrained himself, he could have grabbed at certain times and didn't. I would feel like I was assaulting her because the clothes are made of (spandex?) And I just couldn't do it. I think for most men or boys we try to be respectful and thats why it takes longer to beat these girls in wrestling

@@FungusMossGnosisThere are not enough females for a separate league. These girls know that going in, they know they will lose nearly every time and yet they still put in the hours and hours of hard practice. They enjoy the sport and fight hard. If there was a girls league, they should only be in it.

I'm new to following wrestling and your channel is a big part of that, so I want to thank you for what you're doing. Having said that, and for whatever it may be worth, a few thoughts: 1) I hated today's video: males and females are different, psychologically and physically, and those complimentary differences should be recognized and celebrated rather than ignored or denied; also, males should not be encouraged to regard physical aggression towards females as something that is acceptable. 2) I love your camera work: its consistently steady and clear and the close-ups allow the viewer to perceive the intense amount of exertion and resulting exhaustion that this sport requires; of all the KZread wrestling channels out there, I think yours is by far the best. 3) I also love that you present the whole match and not just highlights. 4) Finally, I love that you cover HS wrestling. I thought I was going to be primarily interested in college wrestling but once I started to see entertainment show like displays of lights and smoke and instances of unsportsmanlike behavior, I thought I was seeing something akin to professional wrestling. Now I have an unexpected appreciation for the more down to earth and respectful behavior exhibited by the non-college athletes; without your channel's focus on HS wrestling, I don't think I would have ever discovered that awareness. Thanks again and keep up the great work.

@@ChinaLake100 I agree that females should not be encouraged to consider physical aggression against males as acceptable, but I disagree that one thing is as bad as the other, eg a man slapping a woman is likely to cause far greater physical harm than a woman slapping a man; a man can also more easily restrain a woman's hands to prevent a slap than vice-versa. Also, males should be encouraged to adopt a code of chivalry towards females which emphasizes male protection of females rather than domination of them. Finally, females should be encouraged not to escalate a verbal argument into a physical assault which risks a male retaliation which is more likely to significantly end up hurting her since not all males will abide by a code of chivalry.

    Жыл бұрын

GENDER DIFFERENCES The two wrestlers, whether M&M, F&M or F&F binary genders, may put their hands anywhere on each others body as defined by the prevailing rules of each wrestling style, and the nature of the contact would determine if such touching was necessary and appropriate for the various positions. In many matches between two wrestlers, a face, arm, hand, leg or foot on one wrestler comes in contact with the external genitalia of the other wrestler. It appears that almost all competitive sports now have some participants who are MTF or FTM gender-dysphoric, transgender or transsexual, so a match between an AMAB (A Male At Birth) and an AFAB (A Female At Birth) may not be that much different physically. If both wrestling participants are in the same weight class and age group, then the competition might deemed fair by the tournament organizers. Nowadays, it seems to be considered biased or politically incorrect if a person considers females to be the "weaker sex", at least physically weaker, but not necessarily mentally, psychologically or emotionally weaker. Most sports are not purely physical prowess dependent on muscular strength, or on Body Mass Index based on height and weight, or Body Fat Index based on weight, waist circumference, wrist circumference, hip circumference and forearm circumference. Psychology, endurance, strategy and tactics are important.

Hello Im Nier, welcome to the channel and to the exciting sport of American folkstyle wrestling. Here are a couple of websites to help you learn the rules. The first is a very quick read, and the second is a little more detailed. staffordhighlanders.com/wrestling-rules-made-simple/ www.indeewrestling.com/folkstyle-wrestling-rules/ As a side note, many viewers ask what {G} and {R} in the video title mean. They refer to the green and red ankle bands which the wrestlers wear, and the wristbands which the referee wears, that are used for scoring purposes. Another common question I receive is how you can tell who has won. Those details can be found in the description for each video.

Although headgear is mandatory by rule at scholastic and collegiate events during the regular wrestling season, privately run tournaments have the flexibility to choose which rules they want their referees to enforce, and they often elect to relax several rules including that one.

@stryker Jones any parent would be proud of Emma regardless of her gender. She was out matched physically and technically but look how hard Rocco had to work to put her away. There's a term in wresting when someone isn't very good, it's called a fish. Emma is not a fish she's a fighter, he had several pinning combinations sunk deep and she still bridged out of them. Sport is about growth, especially at this age. Watch how far she goes in life.

@@jackblah5842 I couldn’t agree more with the sentiment, especially parents being proud. But you’re turning this into something it’s not, forget gender. Without gender being in the forefront or a particular interest in one of the two, that was not a competitive a wrestling match. In your own words she was physically and technically dominated and only escaped being pinned earlier because of her flexibility.

Her best move was bridging. That's all she had. Most of the BvG matches I have watched feature the same script. Basically amounts to girl just trying to survive. They rarely score points, they rarely make any aggressive offensive moves, and they almost always get beat.
