Two months ago at the airport I was asked if I'm flying Business due to my outfit (I would never spend money for business class, I always use economy). My outfit was: white miniskirt (Zara) for £5, yellow jumper (Matalan) for £10, brown flat boots (knee-length, Deichmann) for £35, nude tights (cheap), yellow dufflecoat (M&S) for £45, a scarf in matching colours for £5, cheap earrings, a pair of glasses in red and gold (my glasses are always the most expensive accessoire I'm wearing) and a shopper in beige for £10. I am always dressed sophisticated although I buy on budget 😊

In principle, everyone should be accorded with the same level of respect. Agree. But in practice, psychology plays a big role and if a person acts or dresses as if they don't respect themselves, it will be harder for many people to respect them as they should. You need to see reality for what it is and realize that your actions and the way you present yourself to the world DOES have an impact on how you are treated. And this holds true, whether you like it or not.

My mom and I now always watch your videos, and every time we go shopping we say “ow no Anna would never approve” or “yes, so elegant.” And lately some of my friends have been saying “ow you always look so put together.” Thank you Anna!

Talk about timeless, Shirtdress! Investment piece for me, for work, for traveling, brunch, dinner. Flowy, feminine, a nice belt, lasts forever when it’s well cut and nice fabric. Perfect!

for me, a stand with matching trousers and a blouse looks great, but only when it is without a pattern because with a print it looks like pajamas

I could not agree more, Anna. These style choices are 100% spot on. Very classy, and very doable/attainable on any budget. And by the way, all of them have been my go-to choices for years. Classy and classic are always "in." Also, about shoes, after recent foot surgery, my surgeon has said I must always wear exactly what you're saying and showing here. Very timely video👍

Hi Anna, I've been obsessed with all your work. It resonates with me and with my struggle to allow myself to be feminine. I think a lot of women find themselves in this situation today and your videos helped me navigate through a mini personal transformation where I allow myself to do all the things that make me feel good about myself, like workout, watch what I eat, take care of myself (even though I have 2 toddlers), wear and enjoy nice things without comprise, which makes me so much happier on a daily basis. I'd love it for you to make a video on this topic specifically, and you've mentioned it before, about how we can actually allow ourselves to be the feminine version of ourselves (which we all have, more or less) and stop sabotaging our mental and physical well-being by falling for increasing life demands or trends. My absolute favorite kind of video! The seasons can be tricky, as I live in sunny California where a lot of people dress mostly casual. And I lose touch of what is appropriate to wear! I’ve never dressed for Spring honestly because it heats up very quickly here.. so this is honestly my very first look at what Spring clothes are supposed to look like. Thank you!! Also a video suggestion on “running errands” outfits or elegant outfits for concerts and clubs? My husband has DJ friends that often invite us out, and I have a concert in a couple weeks where the dress code is upscale.. I’m just not sure how to dress for it! I could say a lot of what I’ve learned here in the short 6 months of viewing but what I really appreciate most is having the free opinion/tips/guidance from an elegant woman. As someone who lost their mom at 9 and not having any sisters, Anna your channel has helped me in the feminine side of questions I’ve yet to have resources to come to for advice. I just turned 28, am soon to graduate with my degree in Civil Engineering, thank you for helping those like myself and beyond with your chats and informative videos! Same! All of my trousers are Old Navy, I've had them for years and they're insanely flattering and comfortable. I've tried the "better" versions from Gap and Banana Republic, but even they don't compare.

Rebec brilliant comment! “Style” has come to mean something different than when I was young. Anna is quite familiar with design, color, material, fabric cut and many other facets of looking great. Today it seems as if only the ultra expensive items determine your social identity. Those ghastly Birkin bags are embarrassing, especially given the number of hungry and homeless, not only here, but Worldwide. To pay upwards of $100k for a handbag in every color is repulsive to me. It’s a trend and those followers should be embarrassed at the waste.

Starting a new job and as a 24 years old everything that you wear on a daily basis, I wear for my job. The loafers, the turtlenecks with no sleeves, the white trousers, literally everything. It's interesting because I'm sure as I get older I will start dressing daily like how I do now to go to work. But with the exception of the mini tweed skirt, I fear these clothes would age me. My goal at work is to look mature after all. I'm not sure what the proper age is to dress more business casual like that on a regular basis is but I think I'll just feel it when the time is right haha.

I get your concern! I'm 23, and I dress daily like this by choice. Well more like I'm transitioning to make it daily haha If you don't want this style to age you, try making it fitted, bold or pastel colors that you like ofc, fun shoes/bags/accessories .... There are plenty accounts on Instagram that make it "young" while still dressing modest and elegant

@@bassymichaelis2244 I tried my best when buying these clothes to have them well fitted so that they don’t make me look ‘too mature’. Still, I feel more confident in stylish clothes for gen z. Meshki is one of my favs and I think Anna would rather die than be seen in anything there lol. I think I’ll grow into the modest elegant style one day when I feel the crop tops are too old for me lol but kudos to you for doing it now! It’s just not my style yet.

I always love your videos! I wear all these items and these looks and they really make a difference! I wear tailoring suits a lot (I refuse to wear scrubs 😅😅😅) in my palette colors (deep winter) and this has become my trademark. In my clinic, they call me the colorful doctor 😅😅😅!!! Thanks to you, I changed my way of dressing and observing details in clothes, which I didn't notice before. I was afraid of using colors and was always in black with my white medical apron, like an everyday uniform. The colors and the way we combine them, change everything visually. Including the mood of the patients! Other items that I started to use and are always praised are the classic prints: pied de poule, tweed, pinstripe, etc. Everyone notices, in a good way.
