As an old INFJ my best advice is to learn to turn your mind off and be in the moment. Breathe the air, feel the sun, wind, and rain. Explore this beautiful world we live in. See the beauty in a blade of grass. In short, get out of your head more often. Just do it.

I am coming into many of the realizations of the greatness of what I have been gifted, therefore, a new chapter has presented itself, however the decision of which way to go standing at the fork in the road has also made my over analytical thinking brain start to hemorrhage a bit, so the pro/con list has been written multiple times, so I am so tempted to just go, leave all behind & take that leap, Idk y I become so hesitant when all I want to do is stop being around negative helpless ppl but feel the need to be burdened w/helping them out drains me so. These segments are like speaking for me. Wished I cld find my people & go from there.

As for "That's fine" it often means I'm too exhausted to overthink this now. It's not always to avoid conflict as much as trying to prioritize things. If something isn't a priority for us, we try to make an effort not to dwell on it, as to use our time elsewhere.

Number 7! Thank you! Far too many times people have pressured me into situations that cause me to become over-stimulated, then they guilt trip me for saying something along the lines of "It's too crowded.". Once I finally realized overstimulation was the cause, I've even explained it to certain people multiple times, but they insist I can just get over it and do the thing. As I learn to assert myself and my boundaries more, I've had to disassociate with at least one person because of stuff like that, which of course makes me even more the "bad guy".

  • @Nedmar

I don't know whether it is something typically INFJ-ish, but I love to say a more complete variant of the first example: "Yeah, that is also true, but..." when I want to express my view about something without devaluating the opinion of my talking partner. In this way I think I get more openness from them in order to consider my point of view. One's own opinion is always true to oneself unless eventually one realizes by oneself it is not, so if I say this, I have it easier to make them realize their failing understanding about a given subject, if that is the case, of course.

Mostly accurate for me, some differences. A while back somebody observed that I tend to mean exactly what I say and say exactly what I mean. If I say I've missed somebody's call, I genuinely have. My phone doesn't ring much anyway - in fact the last few calls have been robocall scams and who cares about them? If I say I don't know, I genuinely don't. Oh, btw, "fine" is actually an acronym. It means "Fouled up, Insecure, Neurotic, and Emotional." So, if an INFJ says they're fine when you can clearly see they're not, it might just be time to listen to them because it could be a cry for help.

I have said that sooooo many times in my life , if you're asking, then it means it's obvious that something is wrong .... if you can't figure it out for yourself, then we are not on the same wave length, and I want to be alone ...... I've got to the stage now where that's all I want but it'll never happen ... They are obsessed with me .... I am their reality now.. They want to know how I came to my conclusions in a two second sound bite , now a days people only have a few seconds of attention, when it has taken a lifetime of observations to come to that conclusion.... I often feel like Bran from GoT trying to look at past memories, except it’s of someone else’s POV and experience haha Many times I get so lost in their narration and putting myself in their POV, that I have to snap out of it and that’s when I say “wait, say that again.” Or “sorry, say that last part again. You said, such and such?” Just so I can confirm my ears were hearing them correctly. And the weirdest part about it is that it just happens naturally. I can’t not just casually formulate and try to piece together their story or the information I’m being given, I HAVE to put myself in the situation and it feels like I was transported to a different universe.

If I see things which for me isn't good, I will say, "I am not a good person. But for me, this is wrong."... Or "this isn't right. I will not support this..." If I quite agree, I will say, "ok. Nice video. But the thing is, it's supposed to help other types understand what we mean...but the funny thing is the comment section (and perhaps the list of viewers) is full of us infjs, and not the ones who actually need to watch these things...and I'm too shy to share this with my friends, because in your videos you're kinda always complimenting infjs😅...

Today I went to a book club meeting because a pretty girl invited me, and I like the book. But during the conversations I found myself daydreaming a lot and had to ask to repeat the question a few times. Lol

Sometimes"I don't know" means: I don't want to explain all the topic because that would take a lot of time and you probably gonna get bored half explanation or you won't understand what I'm explaining to you

Very true, or simply picking up on the fact that someone is already disinterested and is just asking questions out of social obligation. In other words "I know you don't care so I'll save us both the hassle." 😅

Yes, but or Ja, maar in Dutch is considered very annoying to alot of people I meet. I have been told many times to not use it because it makes them feel like their point is not taken seriously. I wou;d think, based on the video, that it is a positive thing to validate their opinion and at the same time let them see the other side but most people don't take it that way. It is very annoying to me to be the "yes you're right" person because they can't handle my opnion or the fact I don't automaticly agree with them 100%. Sometimes it gives me the idea I am not validated as a person for having to nod along with the rest.
