I have no idea why, but Ganon's Up Throw gives me the biggest "Kill Throw but not actually a Kill Throw" vibe

His down B is actually referencing a custom move in smash 4 called Wizard Drop kick. It does the same action where he rises up from the ground and comes at you at an angle.

I was so surprised they even added that custom move. It was considered one of the best Custom moves in the game. I just wish it could be used similarly in the air,but I guess regaining your double jump essentially from a Side-B would be overkill.

@@Thelowestofthelowtiers Yeah, wizard drop kick in smash 4 came at a slightly steeper angle when used in the air than opposed on the ground. Still gives amazing horizontal recovery distance though

Fun fact and tip: if you hit a grounded flame choke on someone who is offstage, it sometimes sends them all the way down like the aerial version does.

Do we have to rename the mighty "Doriyah" into the "HAA"? Jokes aside, finally a Ganondorf that is enjoyable (at least to me). Oh, and BIG PLUS: He uses the actual Twilight Princess Sword rather than the Space World Tech Demo one. Best Ganondorf yet, the only thing the devs could add would be the PM styled float but he feels like a complete package regardless. Such a great addition!

Quick note about Ganondorf's Up Smash, in v1.3.0.1 they actually gave it an extra active frame at the end which lets you hit opponents that touch the sword at the end of the move, including smaller characters.

Bonus+ tip: Just use down air. It has a HUGE hitbox and perfect for destroying people on platforms, and it's a surprisingly good kill move, even on stage

All of the superheavy characters have a combo game like dk with his cargo throws and back air and dash attack, incineroar with the down tilt and down throw and instant double jumps, Bowser with fair,bair and up Throw, charizard with back throw and back air and down throw and fair,k.rool with crown setups and forward throw and dair, Ganon with late dash attack, landing dair, Down throw and nair, king dedede with Gordo and nair

I hadn’t kept up with this game, but this is cool either way

McLeod Gaming did what Nintendo couldn't...make Ganon good.

another side-B trick: if you jump right before the side-B, you will do the aerial version while grounded for easy kamikaze setups.

I'm surprised not many knew about this,but if you press the jump button and immediate input Side-B before you leave the ground,you get no end lag. It's more useful then ground Side-B since it's more safer to use if you whiff it. You have to do it pretty much input Side-B the first frame of pressing the jump button.

6:08 The reason why you can't reflect it is because It's not at projectile at all, not like Fox/Falco UpThrow. Go to turbo mode and cancel the UpThrow and the entire animation will be cancelled because the yellow beam is considered as a part of Ganon's body

Ganon wishlist for SSBU 🙏 or the next Smash: -OoT Float (like he had in Project M) -Warlock Punch is dash-cancellable like Ryu and Ken’s down b -Wizard Kick ledge cancels -Maybe get his reflecting cape in some form IMO he *needs* mobility options to rise out of trash tier, and to be more fun to play. Ganon is one of the best IPs Nintendo has and deserves Sephiroth-tier representation!

This is a "combo" I accidentally made when I was playing a sora main. So I was in the battlefield stage and I was like in the middle of the stage with sora at the top and up air, up special and sora was a little spaces away from me but not far enough that I couldn't side b so I side b after the up air and up special and then I side b and choke slam him off the stage

Fun fact: his slow up tilt is called volcano kick

Fun fact:if get hit while you use side b as isaac and use it again,you won't make a new hand just control the last

i'd say high to mid, he's simply too slow at times and his kit doesn't quite flow very well, but the moves that do (Jab, Upair, Downtilt) are heinous abominations

@@mazder3594 Yea that is what I was thinking, if not lower. I feel he just loses to a lot of the cast with their combo loops (sheik, Marth, Fox, Falco, etc) and can get bullied too hard. He does have a ton of tools to fight with but I’m unsure if he can handle disadvantage and getting zone/camped

I think he’s better off that way, fan interpretations of Ganondorf kind of suck, and I think with Ultimate most people have come to accept Smash’s Ganon as its own

I’m actually bitter about Ganon’s missed potential in Ultimate. It blows my mind that he essentially still has the C Falcon moveset, when he probably has the most source material to draw from of any villain in Nintendo history. And his recovery being abysmal is an insult to the Ocarina of Time visual design, ffs he can FLY in OoT. At least give him a mini float like Project M did.

I already switched to maining Ganondorf since he is so fun so this will be useful
