Ever since i first played ssf2 as a kid I’ve been dreaming an original platform fighter made by them. It feels unreal that this is actually a thing

Pfffft. I'm here since ssf. Kinda getting nostalgic for times when I played with my bro in same laptop in same keyboard clicking wrong buttons and freezing the game.

Finally got to try your Mario, made me sure custom content will carry this game for years. Also your Celeste stage looks official.

This is a pretty great guide. Definitely useful for those who want to get a head start into playing Fraymakers. Also shoutouts to you and Nameless Vegeta for making custom content for the Tester Build cause my god, those stages are fresh as FUCK!

Yeah that's fair, hopefully Fraymakers will continue to grow and get dev support but we'll have to see

IM POGGING

While in super excited for the game, I’m super worried for the devs - if people churn out workshop characters at a high rate, there’s a high likelihood that characters the devs already have planned for will already be in the workshop by the time they are announced, and I’m not sure how they will feel if the quality of the workshop is on par with what they then officially add (like with rivals of aether). Especially since this game is gonna have indie characters, and most characters people make are pre existing characters. I hope I’m wrong and the dev team just keeps working not influenced by the workshop, but I just have a nagging feeling about something

@@BowlerSSF2 I found it fine with Rivals of Aether, where they were only adding original characters, and the workshop was post-launch, but with a game like this that builds itself on its guest characters, letting anyone make a guest character and then release it without having to go through the hoops of what the company actually wants seems very dangerous - like, I fully expect all the indie characters people will want will be in the workshop in 2-3 months, while the roster itself will have maybe doubled to 8 by that point. Makes me wonder if the devs wanted this game to be a platform fighter indie game, of if their main goal as to make a Smash Bros MUGEN game

@@NinF37 that's definitely an interesting thought. I feel like I'm not alone when I say the only reason I'm interested in this game is because it could be a smash bros mugen game

I just hope they fix the optimization for both online and offline ASAP. Ppl with good PCs are having stutters and not being able to run rollback, lol.

It's super hard to improve in Fraymakers, because at one point you are strong enough to obliterate the lv9 CPUs, but get annihilated by anyone and everyone you fight online because they played during the tester build and have hundred of hours. Maybe there is another way but I haven't seen it yet Still the game is really fun

Honestly it’s crazy similar this game is getting to melee (in a good way). Movement is super clean, yet it keeps it in a modern way much like other platform fighters kept trying to do yet failed.

Anyone else notice that most of these mechanics apart from assist is basically rushdown revolt? The air dash is different with special fall, but one way shielding and the parrying are exactly the same.

Yeah thats understandable, this guide does kind of skip past the basics and assumes you have experience with other Plat Fighters. I'd recommend starting with playing CPU's to learn your moves and work from their, many smash bros beginners guides that explain aerials tilts smash attacks etc, may also be helpful. It may seem confusing at first but in time things start to make more sense.

This looks so fun haha hopefully it can run on a potato laptop bc I wanna try it out

im still playing the old ssf2 because of the mods and the final smashes

i really wanna enjoy the game but it's so expensive in my country it feels bad this i can't play it

the game doesn't seem to run very well; i played it on a friends pc today that can usually handle games like Guilty Gear Strive and it didnt hit consistent 60fps. is this anyone else's experience too?

that? You should get 60 fps easily and fluidly, update the drivers and use the Direxct option that Steam has when starting Fraymaerks

If your goal is to improve, then yes 100%, you shouldn't be mad if your opponent is playing a good character. If your goal is not to improve, rage as much as you want
