The Buick 340 GS was also built on the Special frame, unlike the GS400 that was built on the Skylark boxed frame. The 3 speed could only be on the colum. No floor shift was available on the 340GS a total of 3,692 were made. Buick also had the CAGS sold new in Hollywood, CA. A very strange GS is the 67 W1 GS. Hi from SoCal 😊

That fabled year of one thousand nine hundred and sixty nine. Shortened to 1969 by those lazy young whippersnappers.

~~OF COURSE; Other than Car&Driver I've only seen one list on here so far based on real world results. Instead of, like most including this one, made up w/personal favorite&popularity? It was a Car&Driver anniversary edition in early '90's that I first seen&loved 1964 Pontiac Tempest; 389 w/6pack&345HP. Off the showroom floor ran 1/4 mile 13.5 108MPH&the 3rd fastest 0-60 4.3sec production car in the 60's just behind #1 63'& #2 61' Cobra. With slicks broke the 4 sec mark beating both&a 12.8sec 1/4 112MPH. ~~I think 4th was '65 Corvette w/bottom half being, coincidentally, what most choose to place as top 5 instead? Sorry, but what world is a 14.1, 14.3&14.4 faster than 13.5?
