Lot of really good calls on this vid. The plastic "razor blades" get used here all the time in our kitchen, lets us scrap things like the glass stove top or glazed ceramic baking pans. Keep up the good work, we love what you do.

Wow! I just found your channel recently (from VanOaks) but I’m already so impressed and excited to watch more. This list is awesome! I love that it is truly affordable stuff and very practical. It’s not a bunch of “here’s unique cool gifts that you will probably never use.” All of this would help out makers of many kinds. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏼

I own a pair of old Swiss-made Erem wire cutters. They're still razor sharp after over 30 years of cutting finger nails, heavy gauge wires and bits of sheetmetal. I wasn't surprised after seeing them sell for over $200 a pair.

I have been practicing my acrylic construction skills and, so far, have eight 1-2-3 blocks. They are cheap knockoffs that would make any serious machinist cry, but they are so versatile.

The make up brush is also great in those times that if you want to do some blending but dont have access to an air brush. Just do NOT touch your wife's! I get the cheap ones too and they last forever. On the centerpunch and a curved surface, put a little piece of painters tape on the surface and your bit will not slide at all. I'll look into the plastic scraper, but have you found any of the ones that work with metal razor blades? Seems like those have disappeared! I'll be picking up some stocking stuffers today, especially those hex driver bits!!!

@@TheSmugglersRoom I use something similar to the dry pencil for welding so now I'm curious if that one will work on non-metal surfaces. Another cool old trick is when there's a recessed screw to install and you dont have a magnetic on the screw driver? Take a tiny bit of scotch tape, hold the head of the screw to the driver bit and wrap the tape around the head of the screw but dont fully enclose the screw. When you pull the drive back out, the tape will come with it. Esp. useful on the tiny screws that are so hard to get to like on a motherboard.

Good list. Pretty much have ended up with the exact same tools just through necessity over time. Those stepped hole cutters were something that featured quite a bit on American Chopper. Very expensive though. That scraper looks like a real time (and fingernail) saver. I learnt something new today. Thanks!

Do you have a link to 4.5? I need a utility knife sharpener. I’ve been thinking I need to upgrade my digital calipers. I use them constantly, but I have the occasional issue with mine. Flush cutters are indispensable. I think I have no less than 6 pair (needed, because they tend to play hide-n-seek). Do I need more 1-2-3 blocks? I think I have 6…or maybe 8. So, yeah, I’m sure there’ll be at least another pair in my future. Great list, my friend. Toooooooollllss!!!

How do you find loaded center punches that last more than a couple of punches. Every single one I've tried stops working within a few punches, they just stop "punching" and all I get are impotent clicks.

@@TheSmugglersRoom I've tried them from Harbor Freight, Home Depot and every other big box home improvement store, even MSC Industrial and I get the same results. I've taken them apart and cleaned them and they'll work for one or two punches and then nothing. I've thought about getting one from Starrett but those aren't cheap, usually $50 at least.
