@@AuthorGuy1 This. It's not so much that Viggo knew he was personally dead, but rather this situation was going to be absolutely terrible no matter what the outcome was; even if he managed to kill John Wick it'd almost certainly be at a horrible cost to his organization and then a rival would probably rub him out later anyway.

Tannhauser gate was mentioned in the Kurt Russel movie Soldier when the tattoo on his shoulder shows it with a list of "battles" he fought in. That was one badass movie where he had minimal dialog but when he spoke you knew some sh*t was about to happen. Sandra: How do you know they'll be back? Todd: Because they're soldiers, Sir. Like me. Sandra: Why are they doing this? Todd: They're obeying orders, Sir. It's their duty. Sandra: Do you know how many there will be? Todd: Seventeen more, Sir. Sandra: Oh my God, you can't fight seventeen more on your own, you have to organize us. We're not cowards, we'll do as you tell us, we'll fight. Todd: No. Sandra: Why not? Todd: Soldiers deserve soldiers, Sir. Sandra: But one soldier, against seventeen. What are you going to do? Todd: I'm going to kill them all, Sir. And that he does lol. after Todd kills the last of the "new and improved" soldiers.... Rubrick: [over radio] Crawler One, do you copy? Crawler Two, do you copy? Are any of you men out there? Can any of you men hear me? [Todd picks up the radio] Todd: Your men... are obsolete.

Gollum and how he stretches his hand to save the ring for just a little longer is great. There are quite a few other great death scenes in the trilogy too. Gandalf going down with the Balrog (this is debatable as you find out that it's a little more long winded in the next movie). Boromir as he saves the hobbits and accepting Aragon as his king. Saruman's is worth a mention, more for the story around the acting than the realization of death. Christopher Lee was being given advice on how to die. He told them that they were wrong, as he had experienced it in reality, duirng WW2. Theoden accepting his fate is quite touching.

Poorly written scene. We are led to believe a warship with like forty guns cant rip the shit out of two smaller vessels with less than half his guns. His ship is freshly made with sturdier and thicker walls as the two older ships had thinner protection. The warship had more men for both manning cannons and boarding parties. The boarding parties on these warships are usually better fighters than most pirates. There is no possible way in reality or fictional that lord beckett’s ship and crew should of lost.

@@AzraealGamer I think it is a solid scene that really gives a fitting end Yeah it might be true what your saying but there are factors in why it happened Beckett was in shock given the Dutchman was suddenly working with the pearl to attack and its clear this was something he didn't ay all predict and given how strategic he is, it threw him in a loop and shattered his ability to lead as there was no way in his mind to counter the two at once cause why they aren't exactly the newest or finest ships around they are distinct in being essentially immortal vessels that can take a world of hurt and still float yes thier crews are mortal but they aren't, and because his men were waiting for a command they didn't have time act and even on a ship that armed individual shots won't do nothing unlike a full barrage but that takes coordination that's just my reasoning I hope you have a good day:D I still love the scene and I think it is a good one in the end

An honorable mention could be Bobby Hayes from R.I.P.D. (Rest in Peace Department). Long story short, the last second before his death, Bobby has this last moment before he gets shot by his former police partner Nick. He looks down with a sudden, "This is it for me." It's not a good movie, but it is a priceless moment. And another moment is the brief second before Lord Shen got crushed by his own cannon in Kung Fu Panda 2. When he saw the cannon about to drop on him, instead of panicking, Lord Shen closed his eyes and accepted his fate. And it's made worst considering that he was the one who was cutting the ropes that was holding the cannon up.
