This 10-Minute Pilates Workout is a quick and effective way to get the blood flowing, strengthen the entire body, and improve mobility - all while standing. We'll also do some stretches that are going to feel so good!

    Thank you for this standing pilates Robin ♥ @TheBalancedLifePilateswithRobinLong I thought I'd try another one of your videos after taking a reprieve. I've just been focusing on Yoga and then low impact aerobic/low impact HIIT, etc. I've weaned myself off of all of my fibromyalgia/arthritis/pain meds and muscle relaxers, at my doings/my choice this past spring and summer and just dealing with the daily pain as I can. 4- 6 months of the past year, I ended up being more active then the beginning of the year so that's a PLUS!! I feel I have grown a wee bit stronger and have a wee bit more endurance and when I'm faithful, I also end up with a wee bit more energy which all are pluses. I'm sure you don't recognize my sign on but it's okay! You have thousands of subscribers!!! ☺ Happy New Year Robin and I'm so glad I did one of your videos today!! I did have to slow the speed down to .75 since I can't move as fast and it still was a little too fast but I'm learning to just accept myself as I am and let go of the rest.     This is great! I added a 10 lb kettle bell through most of the moves after the rolling warmup, to help challenge the leg muscles more. Is adding weight okay with this workout? I know I have to make sure it doesn’t add pressure to my low back. Any suggestions other than this to add challenge?

    Hi Liolia, so glad you enjoyed this workout! We encourage you to listen to your body and adjust as needed when it comes to using weights - the most important thing is to make sure you can maintain proper form throughout the exercises. (Same thing if you added ankle weights or held light hand weights!)

    could i do this in the morning right after having waken up? if so, should i warm up first? if i do core work in the morning, should i also warm up first?

    Hi there! You can absolutely practice this workout any time of day you'd like. 🙂 Robin does include a quick warm up in all of the routines, but you can always warm up even more before starting your workout. We hope this helps - we're cheering you on in your Pilates journey!

    Hi Leah! While this workout isn't specifically designed to be prenatal friendly, you can certainly modify as needed as long as you are cleared by your medical provider to do so (most women will want to start modifying at around 12 weeks).
