You should be able to boil that drift wood for a couple hours and it should become water logged and sinkable

These moss balls are home to extremely invasive species of mussels that can mess up water treatment plants. It’s More-so for our protection rather than the moss. The water from these are also infested with possible offspring and tiny mussels.

Before you put the water in you should boil it and then let it cool and put it in the fridge for a bit

Hey, I noticed u said they need oxygen and that’s not actually true... because they photosynthesise, they actually create their own oxygen which oxygenates the water so it isn’t actually necessary but it obviously won’t hurt to give it extra oxygen :))
