I wanted to organize my pantry but didn't want to paint the walls so I used scrap book paper with double sided tape to brighten it up-it looks very Pinterest worthy! I know they sell removable wallpaper or contact paper but I didn't want to stop and go to the store or order anything-I did buy some beautiful removable wallpaper for my closet (it wasn't cheap) but it looks like a boutique!

Side note to Kelly Hawks comment . comb is awesome to take out the nail. You can also use a pair of needle nose pliers and hold that nail and that to is no more thumbs being smashed.

Great tips! I have always used essential oils or fragrance oils from Walmart in a spray bottle with water on my mattress to help keep spiders and other insects from trying to move in under or in my bed. I use the small water bottle from $1.25 Tree fill with water and put about 8-10 drops of oil in it. This works great to spray on patio furniture too. Citrus scents and Eucalyptus are my go to scents. I'm not a fan of Lavender, but I do put inexpensive lavender dryer sheets in vase like sconces that have faux hanging greenery on my patio and replace monthly to keep pests away. Just some 2 cents from me. Lol

I agree with essential oils. I use to use fabric softener all the time and then I read about all of the carcinogens that were in them… it’s so frustrating that companies use ingredients that can hurt us😢. Especially when the ingredients in the same products in the UK are safer, but here in the US they use the yucky stuff. This was a great tip video, thanks. ☺️

Fantastic tips NataLee..but agree with using essential oils instead of sleeping on a chemically covered bed from a fabric softener with dozens of chemicals (that give it that smell) chemicals.which disrupt hormones..(which cause weight gain!) cause skin rashes and cancer! Essential oils have health benefits and truly smell like the beautiful plants they came from...and are concentrated so cost pennies!

Great hacks, thank you! When I clean my coffee maker with vinegar and water (about 60/40 vinegar/water) I pour baking soda down the disposer and carefully pour the hot vinegar/water mixture down the drain. It really freshens up the disposer. Also, a hack to wash walls for us short people is to use an inexpensive sponge mop. Finally, try TSP cleaner to clean greasy, grimy kitchen cabinets (test first for color fastness). Wear gloves and rinse thoroughly.

After you clean disposal, with disposal OFF, take a flash light and peak inside, I get a slime that gnat breed in. Gross I hate gnats or fruit flies. I spray a foam bathroom cleaner and scrub sides with an old tooth brush or Buy a New Toilet brush (kitchen sink only) and you can spray with cleaner then sprinkle baking soda on damp brush. Brush up and down and swirl around the sides. Turn on super hot water and continue to brush. Take another peak and see if you have missed any slime.

I love a good tip/hack and I have tons. I’ll share 3 quick n easy. I use a washed bar towel, put a few drops of dawn, suds it up with water, wash the mirror or window and then dry it with an old tee shirt, sparkling clean. To prevent foggy mirrors in the bathroom room, I clean them with inexpensive shaving cream. Squirt it on the mirror spreading it over the mirror, then again with an old tee shirt. No foggy mirrors. For minor scratches on a mirror, (I did this on an antique mirror and it worked) I rubbed white toothpaste on the scratches, let it dry and let it dry even more, rub the toothpaste off and that’s it. Now it won’t remove the deep scratches but it does help the less invasive ones. Hope this helps someone. Great video!🙂

I know you like to work with wood and you might already know this but here goes. If you ever strip a screw and cant get it to back out, just cut a rubber band in half, put a piece right over your screw head and zip that stubborn bugger right out. Easy peasy! 😊👍 Patty

Your aluminum foil scrubbing brush hack also works great for removing rusty spots off lawn mower handles, those metal wire racks, etc, don't even need soapy water. Also, going to pack stemware, those pool noodles cut to the length of the stem and then slit down the side and placed around the stems works great. I've shipped many pieces of stemware this way,...so far with no breakage.

I’m 5 feet tall so I understand your pain. I bought one of the interchangeable handles and the microfiber mop head from Dollar Tree. I use this mop exclusively for dusting walls, ceilings, tops of doors and all of those other hard to reach areas. It can be washed & rinsed and hung up to dry for later use - plus, it’s not expensive to replace if necessary. I also purchased one of the DT squeeze foam mops to use exclusively for my kitchen ceiling and upper cabinets (especially after I’ve used my Instant Pot). 😃💝

-Concerning the first hack (softener/water-spray): Just as Amy J. I prefer essential oils mixed with water, in my case lavender for the bed for better sleep (in some Hilton Hotels they provide this kind of spray for guests) and citrus against moscitos...actually in Spain bakeries use halves of lemon spiked with cloves to chase away insects. -A bonus-tip from me against swollen legs in summer or on a long flight: essential mint-oil, water and alcohol mixed in a small spray-bottle...in summer best right out of the fridge !!! Makes your legs feel"fresh" and tonic again. -Baking soda seems to be THE helper in the household, which is great because it's cheap and rather harmless. It's also great for cleaning grout-lines using a toothbrush. -Before industrial cleaners existed, in Germany the go-to cleaner for mirrors and windows was just spirit and some old newspapers and it still works. Great hacks...🙂

I am enjoying these videos! My hack is putting a few drops of lemon juice - it can be fresh or from the bottle - into a small bowl filled with water into the microwave. You microwave it for a minute, and a lot of the crud just falls off. It may take a few times to get everything clean, but the microwave is clean and smells great, too!

Cool hacks!! I just love your channel! My hacks: You can also use needle nose pliers to hold the nail too. If you have a nice piece of furniture and want to put some decorative items on it that don’t have the protector tabs on the bottom but you have some self sticking Velcro dots on hand you can use the soft side and you’re good to go. If you don’t have a measuring tape handy and you’re trying to mark the center line of an object that is not as wide as your arm span. Close your eyes and put your index finger of each hand at the opposite side and bring them together… that’ll give you the center line. Try it. Also if you’re trying to figure approximately how wide something is picture a line of doors from one side to the other and multiply that amount by 36” and you’ll have your ruff estimated width in inches (the average door is 3 feet wide). Hope these help someone out.

If you want the smell of fabric softener in your wash but are environmentally aware then my recipe for meeting in the middle is VINEGAR as fabric softener but add 1-2 cups of fabric softener to a gallon of vinegar! Your clothes rinse cleaner but NO vinegar smell and they actually smell cleaner, like you dried them in the sunshine! Also, if you like Mrs. Meyers spray cleaner but know they are pricey when the bottle of your favorite scent goes down by half fill it back up with 3% hydrogen peroxide and it ‘strangely’ doesn’t lose scent or cleaning effectiveness. I actually do it once more and it still retains a light smell so my one purchase lasts me three bottles worth. I also love to get those scent beads freebie packs at those friosk machines. I take out one tablespoon and fill a spray bottle 7/8 full of hot water and add the tbspn of beads and then add one tablespoon of alcohol and 20-30 drops of essential oils and shake it well. It is hands down far better than febreze type sprays! Thanks for these videos!

Thanks for all the hacks. Worth a try. Although I'm not quite sure about using fabric softener in general and in this particular hack. Its not exactly environmental friendly and all it does is putting a very thin layer of grease on top of the fabric to make it feel smooth. 🤷 For soft laundry you can use normal white vinegar.

Such a great video! The only hack I have that I can think of is a quick easy way to clean a Roman shade. It's so simple. Pull the shade completely open and spray with Woolite Pet and Odor Fabric cleaner (saturate every part) and let it completely dry before rolling it back up. I have a white one right over my sink in my kitchen and that's the quickest, easiest way I have found to clean it. Spraying the whole thing gives it a uniform clean and leaves behind no water spots.

Hi Natalee 😀 you can also use motorcycle screen anti fog spray it's a lot easier to use than the car wax in my own opinion and if you get the anti rain/ fog spray that is excellent to use in a bathroom due to the mist after showering or having a bath. Also use chewing gum to fill in small nail holes it goes hard once dry and is easy to paint over (it's a hack we use in the engineering trade) 😀 Another good tip is to use tumble dryer sheets in pillow cases or under fitted sheets and I like to put a small hole in the sheets and put them over my coat hangers in the wardrobe and stick them to the underside of my bin lid. 😀

Months ago I seen a TickTock on taking those fragrance laundry beads that you toss in the washer and mixing it with water in a bottle and using it as air freshener. I use two capsules to one hot water spray bottle shake shake they dissolve. My house has never smelled so good… And it’s so cheap. I won’t go back to Fabris that’s how much I love this stuff.

Fabulous ideas as usual. For cleaning glass/mirrors I use a wet cloth with a couple of drops of Dawn dish detergent lather the mirror or glass then dry with paper towel or a clean rag… No streaks works like a champ! The best I have ever used. Cuts grease and grime & results in a shiny Streak free mirror or glass. Works especially well on car windows..And very inexpensive I might ad. Try it sometime🙂

Natalie...after paying about $8 for Downey's wrinkle release, I decided to make my own...kept their bottle and only put a capful (from the Downey bottle) of softener and the rest water. It still has a strong smell (especially the kind you use). So much cheaper than the original! I now I have a bottle in all the rooms haha! I spray it on my couches and chairs, my beds, curtains, etc., and it's great on clothes, too. I recently had a guest stay over a few nights and she asked me how I kept my sheets smelling so good!! Great video!!!

I just bought a leather couch and recliner. Our cat thought it was her new scratching post! Using a mixture of warm water, 1 drop of dish soap, and 2 or 3 drops of cinnamon essential oils we we wiped down the furniture completely. It worked! She no longer scratches at it! Yeah!!

Love your hacks and other videos! I'm also 5'2" so I get you! Cleaning mirrors - the aerosol hacks probably work because of the alcohol content - plain rubbing alcohol or even Vodka mixed with a little water are amazing too! They are also disinfectants, so that's a bonus. I personally use Everclear, mixed in a spray bottle with a little water and a couple drops of my favorite essential oils (it doesn't streak) - on my mirrors, TVs and even computer monitors. I have monstrous dogs that drool and slobber everywhere and have to clean the TVs often. The Everclear works much better than any retail glass/screen cleaner I've ever bought, and I've probably tried them all.

Love watching your channel!. You are so "Power"ful! My hack.....If you have trouble getting dog hair that has worked its way into the carpet fibers, use a spray bottle to mist the carpet first. Then run the sweeper and it picks up the hair like magic. Febreeze bottles work great. Water will work just the same as Febreeze, but using a bottle like the Febreeze bottle mists instead of wetting the carpet too much. I read this online on a site about removing pet hair from carpet. I am so thankful I tried it. Saves so much time!

    The BEST thing for windows and mirrors is a few drops of dawn dish soap in your bucket of water, the one bucket will do your whole house, you do not have to rinse just use a sqeegy or a clean dry towel{ without fabric softener on it}

Great hacks! I’ve done the fabric softener one, but add rubbing alcohol to the mix as it helps it evaporate quicker. FYI… Dollar (twenty five) Tree owns Family Dollar and so many of the same items are there & only one dollahhh! Now if only I had a Family Dollar closer… My fave hack is a carpet or upholstery stain remover. I use a spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide(if you transfer to one, just be sure it’s dark), but many spray nozzles will fit a large hydrogen peroxide bottle. Anyway, I blot up what I can, then I spray with the hydrogen peroxide and let it soak a few minutes, then I follow up with a mix of dawn dish soap and water in another spray bottle. Voila! Stains are absolutely gone from our light carpet. We have a new puppy so need I say more?!? 😬 🐶 Blessings…

Great hacks as usual. I use to put a cloth around a metal fly swat and use it to get under my refrigerator. I didn't want to tear my floor pulling it out. I bet the wax trick would work great on your car windshield on the outside. My dad use to put something on my windshield to make the water bead up and it worked great.

For dusting out of reach places I use the the pole from Dollar Tree with the Swiffer like attachment covered with the white fluffy dusters that go with them. It reaches the high places. I have started using it on my plantation shutters. First on on side then change the direction and go over again. The easiest and fastest way to dust the plantation shutters. Even at the new price, it is a very good value for $3.75. The dusters are washable, so no waste.
