Rock hangs around and looks pretty, which is exactly what we agreed upon :,))) He does have some cute dialogue though- seems like he's really excited about parenting, and shows some interest in learning to cook, but trying to encourage him results in 'but I wouldn't want to show you up' I love him, he's so silly

I wish he would water my crops everyday! but after getting the gold watering can I guesssss I can water them instead.. haha. I got a feeling most spouses find forgables but I wonder if they vary depending on spouse.. and maybe rock doesn't? I remember someone saying he is kinda lazy as a husband. No problem!! You'll get there with the fishing rod, I believe in you!

It should be added that if you befriend Daryl in year one you can get a free seed maker from him. At the same time the original easy money trick from the original game still works. Plant a banana tree as early as possible in your first spring, get the free seed maker from Daryl, put the bananas in the seed maker, and sell the seeds. It gets you a much better profit than selling bananas and is the best starter fruit for this trick, even at B rank

I spoiled two rounds of turnips not knowing they were ready to be harvested, partly due to the fact that at the time is didn’t know about the blue and yellow highlight thing… but mostly because I kept waiting for them to grow ABOVE ground … omg most embarrassing eureka moment when I realised they duh they grow under the freaking soil!! Did I not play farming games for years and not know that turnips grow underground? Was not my favourite childhood book, The Enormous Turnip.?

Omg no I totally relate to this...I felt so so silly like.. wait.. how did I not question the yellow square?! all of my money. Between that and the fruit trees I had to replant .. year 1 was a lot of wasted money with Trail and Error 😭😂

I love your videos, I just have to say. You’re fun to listen to, very helpful, and I get excited to play the game again when I listen. Also just cause I haven’t seen you mention it, the fertilizer maker is a huge investment. You can take any 1 fodder and turn it into to 5 fertilizer. One fertilizer becomes one fodder over night in the field. I abused this and gave myself stacks of fertilizer for my spreaders and field. Wish I had of bought before year 3.

yeah I should have included that! It gives a purpose to a lot of items later on when they are less than useful for gifts or money. A lot of the spring flowers were turned into fertilizer

You also need to get vinnies friendship to the red (or maxed, not sure) before talking to Takakura to get the amazing field. Vinnie’s friendship goes down if you don’t talk to him

I'm trying to understand how to use hybrids in a systematic way to make money consistently. I was sad to learn that when making seeds and growing them, they don't retain the upgrades of the parent plant. If I use happy lamp on a crop and make seeds from it, the seeds still need Vinny and a happy lamp to be grown in another season. How are others using hybrids for crops ?

Yeah I feel that - I have typically made 1 of each but a lot of my money comes from ranching in most of my files. Milk comes by pretty quickly

I've only beat Charlie about 5 times, (each time I've remembered to play), but my strategy so far has been to go across horizontal lines starting from the first one up or down from the edge. If Charlie gets a diagonal or two, it doesn't matter because you've got lines going out to the edge and down/up to the next line. Fill in that big swatch of space and you're pretty much good! It doesn't always work perfectly, sometimes he'll get a little territory in the area I aim for, but sticking to the edges of the canvas and going horizontally works pretty well for me at the moment!

Why didn't I get the options to buy the tool upgrades from van? I'm in year two spring 7 and I haven't seen silver tools from van, I got a copper fishing rod from van but that's all he gave me

I think the harvest sprites will offer you ALL the recipes over time even if you miss out on some like say Nina's in year 1. You will have to raise your hidden cooking skill thoiugh by cooking a lot of dishes

Agreed. Try to still enjoy the game and take it at your own pace :) I'm towards the end of Chapter 3 in my main file and I'm purposely leaving some upgrades for year 4 and even 5 so I have things to do. If I min max Year 2 and 3 then I struggle to not sleep through the days of the final year since all I would have left would be cutscenes. The 6 hours skip hill next to Vesta's farm has been awkwardly helpful to me 😲

⁠I just got into the start of year 2 with a pond and a fertilizer maker, as well as a sheep, 3 hens and a rooster, a normal cow, a marble cow (daughter of the normal cow and a marble male I bought then sold), and a male brown cow I just bred to the marble female to get a brown female. I feel like I'm REALLY busting my butt now because I have a crap-tone of sweetomas growing in my middle field, an orchard of banapple trees in the poor field, and can't wait to unlock the amazing field! I kept running out of stamina until I realized sashimi is a GREAT way to get that back. My hybrid haul is going to be NUTS! I'm also fertilizing everything too, including the fields so I can cut more grass to make more fodder to make more fertilizer! In between all that, I try to get at least 5 fish every day for my sashimi snacks, and just now got over to the dig site on day 7! I figure I'll hit my groove eventually ... but wow, what a frenzy! They really make you work for stuff! Oh, and I'm growing a turnmato and a sweeturn too, to make Garrett his pickled veggies, and also some bluenatos because why the heck not?

Idk if I'd say that Cole is harder than Charlie. I beat Cole with over 50+ points and feel like he has no idea what he is doing xD

I was able to milk my cow twice a day in the beginning but now I can’t no matter how much time I let past in between trying. Even after they give birth it only allows milking once

It’s every 10 hours. Skip a full day of milking and milk them as soon as you wake up and you can milk them again in 10 hours

Normally sickle them down when they wilt. I'm not sure if you can get rid of them earlier than when they wilt
