I cant stop playing it. It has just very optimistic and good chill vibes. It’s always been my favorite in the genre and series (ok maybe tied with Stardew) and the remake elevates it for me even more

I am so happy this is now on the switch, as a kid this was my favorite GameCube game along with Animal Crossing. Even though it is repetitive I feel it’s great for people that like to have their own goals in a game (you could focus on crops, or breeding cattle, or focusing on the dig site etc) I was pleasantly surprised by new cut scenes + improvements while staying true to the original ❤

Basically, if you like grinding in farm sims, dont get this game.. if you love romance and marriage and family and really want a chill game that you can use one brain cell for, this game is for you 😂 idek if I'll ever play FoMT or PoOT again because this game was my whole childhood and now it's my whole adult gaming hood ❤

I love your take on it. The extreme coziness and relationship aspect of the game was so special to me when I was a kid playing, and I think the QoL improvements for farming, additional cutscenes, and festivals make this one of the best remakes I’ve played. There are only a few things I have qualms with, such as getting rid of some of the really unique traits that Cody/Gordy and Gustafa had in the original, but I can let them go since I have same-sex marriage now anyway. 🌈

I love a farming game with very little farming so this is one of my favourites. Thanks for teaching me how to finally win the triangle game.

Ive not played a harvest moon game before and i went in blind. I was super shocked when year 1 ended and certain character were missing. Got me all emotional

I played it on game cube originally and it was such a happy space for me. I truly loved it and the nostalgia brought me back to it. It literally shaped my life.

What about that you can cross your crops? I feel like this is so unique and that does make farming a big part of the game! I remember playing hours and hours on trying to get the right fruit/vegetable. Great video!

I love it! But I also was obsessed with the original, so it's very nostalgic for me above all else. I was 18 when the original released, now 37

I was obsessed with the original also as was my daughter (now 28). I bought the game after watching Pat play it in the livestream. I told my daughter that I had bought it and she said that she did too so once again so it did come full circle. We still have the Gamecube version also.

You can ride a horse in some of the story of season versions… And some previous harvest Moon games For like the 3DS

I beat it almost entirely in 3 days. Every character says the exact same dialogue daily. Even your husband. The people are flat, just as they were 20 years ago. Little to no rewards from Max Friendships. Basically get max money by raising only sheep. New Requests feature gives pointless and easily obtained otherwise rewards. Digging in the mine is horrendously slow and Flora/Carter walk in your way the entire time which causes you to be unable to dig. You still can’t interact with ANY NPC when they are doing any emote: crossing arms, touching something, etc which is irritating. New Hybrid crop system is “cool” but you only need them for certain requests at end game. Crops sell for basically nothing otherwise. All upgrades on farm are easy to obtain and there are only 5 total. So once you’re done with that, you’re DONE. Forced marriage after 40 days again, and the proposals (I did all of them) are so flat and lifeless and not cute. They did ABSOLUTELY nothing to improve this game, it is STILL 20 years old and plays like a 20 year old game. Absolutely should not have been 50$. If you (like me) played this as one of or your first Harvest Moons YES it has some nostalgia, but it’s the same game… and it’s age shows. Wait for a sale on Steam and buy it on Steam so you can return it when you realize how poorly it aged. But good news, a new Story of Seasons title was just announced :) so something to look forward to!

Never would have considered this game if it wasn't for your streams. I think I'll wait until it's on sale though

Bought it. I did like the pace of time in it. I got the one with a plush. I usually buy two of everything since my daughter likes some of the games I get. I just buy the second on sale as we share the first one.

It was super nostalgic for me so I was going to buy it regardless of price but thankfully I stacked up rewards from Gamestop and was able to get the regular edition for $35 I think its a chill game but there is still a good amount of things to accomplish daily.

I bought this game right after I watched your first recent video on it. I like it so far. I never played Harvest Moon. I like this for a relaxed game.

I want to see a comparison between this game, and the one put out two years ago. I haven’t found the one from two years ago to be relationship heavy? I suppose it can be but I haven’t found a need for it yet. I’m building up my farm getting that set up first and then I’ll worry about relationships, so how does that compare to this new game?

The one thing I’m a little disappointed in the lack of well designed bachelors, good thing I can marry someone of the same sex now

I am loving it so far. Very chill game I never played it on GameCube but loved harvest moon on DS.

I love it! Its very nostalgic and improvement from the old version.

The remake does stay true to the orgin and has quality of life. It does get repetitive especially since it's 6 years of almost doing the same thing daily but the artstyle is so cute and some of the features I enjoy like being able to get 3+ milk per cow two times a day. The market is a unique idea that has not really been in any of the modern farming games. This game also doesn't rely on crafting, it's the start of a farming game before sprinklers and makers came to existence. Also breeding crops is cool. It definitely hits nostalgic. I got Coral Island since it was on sale but I'm thinking of getting this one since it was on my wishlist already. I played Mineral Towns and Olive Town which I have poured 100+ hours in each. A big fan of this series even though my first one was the mineral town remake. There's a reason why ConcernedApe loved this series so much and created his own game inspired of it 🥹🫶

Also most farming games now, relationships mean nothing and can be dull but here you get something outside of it whether it's a seed maker or gifts. Befriending everyone is almost a must to progress which Dorameon also has that aspect

Does the digital version take up a lot of space?

I think I’ll play this one even though people getting old and stuff is sad. I hope the animals don’t die. I hate mines in farming games so I’m glad this doesn’t have them.

I’m probably going to get it but how hard are the controls for example I hate Stardew controls but love AC

Controls are super easy to get used to. Everything feels great

The gamecube originals got me and my siblings into this genre. We played hundreds of hours when we were kids and it's been hard to put it down now lol. Whenever a new sos game would come out we would hope that aspects from this game got included, like the family stuff. Personally I think the price is far. I mean I'm going to be playing this game for years. I've spent more on games I've played for less. Also the goat plush is super cute.

I'm so excited for my copy to come in possibly tomorrow I loved Another wonderful life on GameCube. I didn't get A wonderful life on gamecube as a kid but I own it now thanks to my aunty. I'm excited to see if they do Magical Melody in the same style as mineral town.

it did cost 39,99 in germany on release day as a hard copy in store XD And I think that price is fair, but I would not have wanted to pay more.

Personally I played most of the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons but I didn't get to play this one when I young cause I didn't have a GameCube. Bought the latest one for Switch, while the animals and actions are all very cute, I was very bored T_T. I feel the price of the game isn't really worth it, but thats my personal opinion!

I would love to have had more interactions with my partner and I'm into the 3rd year and there's no growth from my child. I have new clothing, but would love new clothing for my child and partner as well.

I bought the game on it's release, i was so excited, and then i played and got bored so quickly, i hate the fact that they force you to marry someone before the end of the first year or else it's game over, the farming is not as important as in Pionneers of Olive town and that's what i liked the most, so yeah, i'm definitely disappointed

I enjoy playing Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town a lot now & I beat the main story in year one & the post game story in year three while I’m married to a bachelor & I can make my own story with my imagination in the video game

I think the price is fair but I will still wait for it to go on sale. I have plenty of other games to play atm.

I'm more concerned that game companies are rely on old game (remake/remasters) instead of making a new game.

I'm on Autumn of year one and so far Wylde Flowers is much better I would say. I'm already bored with the repetitive nature of most of the game. I really hope it picks up if I stick with it (I know farming games can often be slow to get going). The town feels very small and the dialogue is already repeating itself all the time. I guess I just expected more but I'll give it longer and hope it improves. At least it runs really well on the Switch (unlike Dreamlight Valley) 👍

@@NintenTalk Please do give it a go (it's on sale!) It honestly took me so much by surprise. The main story is the first year but there's a fair bit to do the second year too. I absolutely binged the first year lol! Well worth the money and more updates are planned 😁

I want to love it but really struggling. I’ve enjoyed the others more.

My guy is just watering crops that can be picked. Guess it's fine if he's planting seeds after, though.

I enjoy the game once I get the game in the future year because I never played it before I will force on marriage instead of farming & i will immediately avoid Molly at all costs because I hate her because she is so disrespectful in forgotten valley & she never take a break at all & she is a rebound girl & she have a boyfriend in the city & now she is going to married to the player that just move in the valley in year one & called that player a sweetheart no that is so inappropriate in a farming game

I've had this mindset since the Gamecube version, and I still have it now; Personally, I think this is a great game, but I also think it's one of the worst Harvest Moon games. That doesn't make the game itself any less good, but it's just really lacking compared to most (most, not all) Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons games.

Honestly with Wylde Flowers being about $25, this game does seem WILDLY overpriced!! I mean it’s practically Zelda botw/totk price?!😭 I still might buy it, but may hold out for a sale if I can😅

Have you looked at the amazing things players are creating in Dreamlight Valley?? The storyline for Chapter One is 10/10; most players were really touched by it and it was great fun to play through at the end of the story. Would enjoy seeing the magical things you could create in this game.

It is divisive because of the stupid custom character options like the "other" in picking a sex, and the pronouns to be referred to as. Male and female are standard in custom characters, and pronouns are supposed to be grammar shortcuts to depersonalize in languages.

I personally hate art style quite frankly...the old style looked way better frfr.

There was some sharpness on the old character designs, I think.

Cons: Characters' development is weak. You have to get married by year 2, so it makes the game feel less chill. Same-y dialogue. Festivals are half-ass. There is less to do compared to other related games. Character animation still feels outdated. Picking a gender/pronoun feel like pandering instead of being impactful in any way, since everyone refers you as they/ them anyway, so what's the point? Animals can't die or age anymore, so any emotional connection is gone. Character redesigns are hits/misses. New horse design looks goofy. Pros: Music slaps. Much-needed quality of life changes. Graphics look nice for what they are. Best child raising system in any of their titles. Hybrid crops are still fun to experiment with. Cows actually look like cows instead of those big head abominations from the newer games.

I look forward to the day when a farming sim is created that has these graphics but excellent stardew valley style gameplay. I say this because, the gameplay in SOS AWL sucks. The game is boring and the Devs put as close to 0 effort as possible into it... period. I know no one here agrees with me but if I feel this way, other people probably do as well. The folks that love this low effort hyper-casual experience (This game is low effort in every sense of the phrase and if you read this and disagree please tell me why you feel it is not low effort), GOOD I am happy for you but this game is not for people who prefer stardew valley's excellence. Stardew is casual farmign sim rpg and a lot of passion was put into it. Can you honestly say the same for AWL remake? I want these games to start feeling like effort was invovled but this will never happen because you people that i disagree with, eatt his stuff up and i just want to know why you all have no standards for your casual video game experiences? Side note: the guy in the video calling the price of $50 a fair price utterly ridiculous. This games price should be $30 at most. Its $50 and $60 because the company that made it knew they could get away with it. In the same breath, the guy in the video says its a remake of a GC game so the mechanics are not fleshed out and he literally says AWL remake doesn't have stardew's exciting gameplay. So are we in denial about how utterly boring and outdated this game is then?

I bought the game but was really disappointed. The game is way too easy and not challenging enough.
