17:05 Fun fact: Zombies (and other undead mobs) aren't just immune to poison, they actually regen from it! That's probably why the zombie survived the second time. In the same way, instant harming heals them and regen/instant health potions harm them!

If you're looking for a fresh start without deleting this world, you could steal WadZees idea (with credit of course) and when 1.20 drops, you could travel 10s of thousands of blocks through the nether to totally new areas to load in only 1.20 terrain, then set some goals for yourself before you been return. He locked all his stuff in an obsidian box including armor and totems and had to literally start from nothing in his same world.

I've seen lots of folks do that with long running SP worlds and I think thats a great idea. Personally, I use a world boarder which I expand every time an update adds stuff that needs me to generate new terrain.

I've (not so recently) started editing hardcore videos, but I feel so unmotivated when I spend several hours of work on 5 minute segments. First upload in a while but still great as ever!

If you need a lot of gold, mesa biomes have a ridiculous amount so if one is near enough, you can go caving there. The next best option is bastions, specifically bridges & treasure rooms. It’s even in the walls so if you watch a video on where to look you can get damn near a stack from just one as well as netherite & more. I recommend using lava buckets to kill the brutes because then “you didn’t kill them” so the others won’t get agro with you, so you can slowly work your way through. They do not spawn back in either after you kill them. Warped fungus will scare off the hoglins so you can kill them from a distance & if you where a piece of gold armor, the regular pigeons won’t fuck with you unless they see you open a chest or mine hold. I just kill everything &/or put up walls.

I would love to see you starting a new journey with ure current knowledge :) random seed ofc ^^ And ofc upload more frequently :D like weekly, heck daily updates or so ;)

for the shulker one, you can just eat a chorus fruit and it will send you to the ground, technically traveling 60 (i think it was) blocks with the levitation effect

Little tip: Minecraft DOES give you a list on what you have and have not eaten / killed /collected etc, look into the statistics in the pause menu!

If you ever decide to delete your world you could start a new hardcore with a vanilla plus mod pack. Or if you wanna go crazy you could go with what I like to call Vanilla Minus. Essentially change Minecraft to it's very fundamentals till it might as well be a completely different game.

You can get the floating advancement by eating a chrous fruit snd it tping you to the floor or ceiling
