If you're going through all this effort for "dumb" armor and curse of binding I almost would've expected to use at least the "useful" dumb armor: turtle helmet for underwater, still use leather boots for powdered snow walking, wings, and lastly gold pants to make piglins neutral. I was going to say I don't know if you can curse of binding elytra, but then you don't do the chest anyway...

the reason why there are so many variants is cuz of leather's coloring mechanic which multiplies it by a ridiculous amount hence undecilion

There are actually 990,904,320,000 armor sets you can put on if we dont count enchatments (16 armor trims x 10 armor trim materials x 6 armor materials = 960 possible combinations on each piece (if we count the turtle helmet then helmets have 1020 combinations) -> 960 x 960 x 960 x 1120 = 990,904,320,000 overall possible combinations.
