10 Greatest Boxers Ever

Спорт

Today's video examines the ten greatest boxers to ever enter the square circle...at least in my opinion. There are many who have a case, this list chronicles my personal favorites. This is not a ranking. The fighters are presented in the order that best flowed in the video. The List includes:
Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather, Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Rocky Marciano, Joe Louis, Manny Pacquiao, Sugar Ray Leonard, Sugar Ray Robinson, and Marvelous Marvin Hagler.

Sure brings back memories, no one was a bigger Ali fan than myself & I thought he was crazy fighting Foreman.Tyson was something but what George was doing to great boxers was scary..Tyson didn't fight that caliper of boxers till later w/Lennox & Evander. What could have been if Cuz lived a little longer because Mike was fast, explosive & really a good boxer.

He was just a carefully matched slugger. Nothing wrong with him offensively but his defense was pretty ordinary. Add to that he had a ticker problem. For me Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, Manny Pacquiao, because the symbols of their lose is the greatness of the boxers that fight even you are an underdog thats muhammad ali said. So for Muhammad Ali if you are undefeated you are a legend but you are not a greatest boxer, because you didn't expirience the fight that you are an underdog to your opponent. Just like mike tyson he is always an underdog in her fight he's weight is only for super middleweight division but he is in Heavyweight Division, also in height he is only 5'8 compared to ordinary heavyweight fighter that height is 5'11 to 6 feet taller.

"He's a very smart fighter, a very great champion, and I only hope that I can be as good as him..." - Rocky Marciano Marciano made this statement about his opponent in his post fight interview after knocking out Jersey Joe Walcott to win the Heavyweight World Championship Title! He gave praise to opponent, even after Jersey Joe went around calling Marciano a bum in the weeks leading up to the fight. Rocky Marciano is an absolute gentleman and a true class act. He realy had every right to make Jersey Joe eat his words, and rub that knockout victory in his face. But Marciano proved that he carries himself with his head held higher than that, and instead chose to remain humble and show the class and professionalism of a true Champion. They sure don't make 'em like that anymore! One of the many reasons why Rocky Marciano is my number one favorite Champion Heavyweight of all time!

Archie Moore - 183 victories, 131 by knockout. Ray Robinson - 131 wins, only 3 losses. All great boxers with unreal stats! One of my most memorable knockouts was Mike Weaver dropping Big John Tate like a felled redwood tree. Hard hitting Ernie Shavers was brutal as well as early Iron Mike Tyson. Some fighters become royalty, but Manny Pacquiao is a KING. Very few ever reach that kind of status as a literal hero of their nation, bringing direct benefits in terms of nation-building and aiding humanity in his native country for several decades. He's a movie star, a rock star, and a leading politician as well. If he had a conquest mentality, he could become an emperor. A rare historic figure.

To be fair to Jersey Joe Walcott, after Rocky got up, he knew exactly what kind of fight it was going to be. Walcott was an extremely experienced fighter, he knew he did not have rocky hurt, and he fought the rest of the match for the victory and not the knockouts. What makes Rocky's 13th round knockout so impressive, is that Joe Walcott was winning the fight easily, and he was not getting careless. Rocky still nailed him with everything he had at the exact right moment in the 13th round. Very few fighters have that kind of punch left after fighting for nearly an hour.

@@gionncaomhinmorpheagh4791 ive seen it. Its glorious. Ive seen all of Ali's work. Greatest. Ever. His fight with George ended the conversation with me. He beat prime George. Edit: I have so much respect for George. He's an amazing puncher. I don't want this post to seem like im trashing him. George Foreman is an inhuman puncher and a great man.

You're too young too know real boxing and real talent. Mayweather junior was a bum who only fought boxers who were green, over the hill or injured. Mayweather will never make the list of greats. Even Pernell Whitaker would have dismantled Mayweather. Aaron Pryor would have obliterated him.

I saw Ali fight Joe Bugner in Kuala Lumpur in 1975. My school was right next to the Stadium where they fought. We were fortunate enough to watch a sparring session prior to the fight. On the day of the fight, we were even more fortunate as the Stadium was so bereft of spectators we got free entry. It was more show than substance though. The ones that mattered were Frazier, Foreman and Norton
