Mj won dpoy in 88 scoring title dunk contest , and pippin wasn’t an all star yet, mj was still training him and bringing him up. Hardening pippin . In fact , 88 Jordan was by far the greatest nba season ever numbers wise and it’s not even close , 89 is second best nba season ever too 1 and 2. He had 9 more seasons that made top 50 greatest seasons of all time by any player .

Jordan shutdown his man. Pippen and Jordan guarded the best player on the other team. They alternated often during the game. This BS that Pippen did all the defense and Jordan just jacked up shots is just that. Total BS. He won DPY because of lock-down D, piles of blocks, and piles of steals.
