me too. Actually, a lot of them were not so bad. People need to stop feeling offended by everything. It's like a popular hobby these days, getting offended. The "got it booking right" for instance, God. I'm glad none of those people ever watched Adventure Time. The number of reasons they did just that is pretty large, and it actually started a culture of avoid actual swearing and using AT interjections as surrogates for curse words.

The booking one is just stupid to get offended by on behalf of children. What's the possible downside, your kids use "booking" as a word to describe something negative? If they realize that it's a replacement for "fuck" then they already know what "fuck" is so it's not introducing them to anything new.

I never understood Ashley Madison. Sure, any and every "dating" website allows for "casual encounters" to occur through their systems. Some even encourage it. (I've long since decided such websites were akin to digital pimps (think about it).) But every other site tackles such usage with a wink and a nod. Ashley Madison just blatantly asks "Hey, you wanna boink a stranger? We'll help!" That ad even uses a bastardization of a popular song to outright say as much with no euphemisms or doublespeak (or tact, or propriety, or artfulness...). Never mind the moral implications of industrial promiscuity. (I'm no prude. I think we could all use a lot more banging in our lives. Get the old heart rate up, improve self esteem, etc.) But there are places in the United States and other countries where adultery is straight up illegal. How does THAT work as a business plan? Oh, and as for the commercial targeting males? That song kinda doesn't work if you gender swap the lyrics. Perhaps there was supposed to be a follow-up companion piece with a different, female-centric song? After all, it makes more sense to court the female part of the equation into the Ashley Madison system. It's why Ladies' Nights exist. Unless they already have a "stable" of available women for their johns to "date". Or perhaps "someone other than my wife" is actually in reference to other men.

I get that some are, like the laundry one, or mcdees, ect. but is booking really that bad? so you rather have your kids actually say swear words then turn it into something cute/funny/harmless? and I get it kids shouldn't learn ANY swear words, but they aren't always gonna be kids and you won't always be around to teach them, I would rather teach mine to say booking as oppose to swearing, probably would be less trouble.

I agree with you that when companies do the George Costanza, "watch me put the tip money in (because I am generous)" makes me cringe. I hate that everyone wants tragedies removed and considered "taboo" because someone may get hurt. It sounds crappy, but I want people to remember terrible things that happened. People should get upset over them. It should strike an emotion so those terrible things can be learned from. Sweeping them under the rug is the worst thing ever! It's disrespectful to those who are/were involved. If I died in some tragedy, I would like to think that my death could help prevent it from happening to someone else. Even if I was 1 of 1000, my death would be used to increase the tragedy factor by one more life. Another example is using Indian names for sports teams, there is a difference in acknowledging/remembering/honoring someone or something and exploiting it for your own gain. I wish there was a baseball team called the Peoria Pollocks, or Kansas City Krauts. Anyway...I think I should get of my soapbox now. Agree/disagree, j don't really care, as long as it opens your mind and makes you think.

EVERYTHING is somehow "racist" now a days. I mean, the commercial was endorsed by a black man, and stared the same black man in 2 of the 3 lead roles ( As the goat, himself, and the 3rd role being the waitress). How is it racist against black people if it was a black man who stars in and promotes the content?? Obviously he meant for the commercial to be geared toward young black people and that may be why he used black people in the commercial the way he did figuring his target market, young black people, would find it funny. Thats just my guess as to why the commercial was done this way.

Could you please stop going around calling people sick? Different people have different sense of humour. You don't always have to agree with someone else and you definitely don't have to make people have the same opinion as you. I know this sounds offensive but I'm not trying to be. So sorry if you're offended.

People be too easily offended. That snickers add was hilarious. And that's likely how a lot of men would react after accidently kidding (probably not ripping out their chest hair) but they'd certainly jump back, and have a slight freak out... Some guys are really sensitive about their manlieness

Reminds of that scene from Pirates of the Caribbean, when he broke off his toe due to it being so cold and then looked so horrified. Or when you see some men getting a waxing, it hurts.

Most people getting "offended" are just looking for attention, they're not actually offended. As for the few that actually are, they need to remember that an ad agency has less than 30 seconds to get your attention and interest in a product amists a sea of noise. Sometimes it... just goes a lil too far or deviates from the intended result.
