I really don't get why most parents acknowledge that their kids don't know any better but also don't acknowledge that limiting what they do is why they don't know any better. Like saying that over and over again when they do something wrong is not responsible and simply an excuse that says "Parenting is hard. I give up. My kids can do whatever"

Mr. Meaty made me run out of the room and constantly peek in to see if it was over. Why didn’t I change the channel, you ask? It was an old TV with no roommate and I was too scared of the show to get close to the TV to change or turn it off. That’s how creepy it was.

Oscar lives in the trash can. Not Grover.

I don't think Courage belongs here. The entire series was essentially geared for mild horror. All the tv series featured here was geared for children entertainment and education. But in that sense, I guess Tom and Jerry doesn't belong here too.

I don't think this is very accurate. I believe the creator of spongebob had the intention of it being for little kids AND their parents. They, or he, probably wanted a show where both parents and children could watch it. Look at Spongebob, he's the child in the show then you have Squidward who is the more serious adult like one.

I try to forget that it was ever a show. It is absolutely one of the creepiest, most disturbing shows I’ve ever seen. When I was younger I distinctly remember feeling disgusted and perturbed by the character design, themes, and just the overall feel of the show in general. It just felt like I was in an inescapable fever dream with horrifying, plato-esque creatures.

Thank you for mentioning The Dinosaurs 😁 Has been a favorite of mine forever 😍 But that series finale STILL gets to me😱

Ironically though, Margaret Hamilton, (aka Wicked Witch of the West) was actually a huge philanthropist and proponent of children's welfare. She was pretty sad her appearance on Sesame Street scared so many kids. I have actually seen the episode and thought it was cute, not in 1971 but recently after the footage was rereleased.

Nice spongebob impression!! :)

That episode in Tom and Jerry where Tom dies and goes to heaven on that creapy stair case scared the living lights put of me as n child.... 😱

Surprisingly there’s a lot of Sesame Street on here ! I was traumatized by an episode of “Are you afraid of the dark?” When the boys best friend died and he was standing outside of his window with the bicycle 🥴 Anddddd Matt did a pretty good spongebob impersonation!

Oscar lived in the trash can not Grover... I still love you impersonation !!! :) LOL

I'm not sure if I have actually wrote this in a comment before when I seen this video for the first time... But Matt your variation of doing SpongeBob's voice is really too good!! You sound just like him! I wish I could do impressions... That's really cool.
